Facing The Past (TW)

Blake's P.O.V 

Today is the Day, Arsenal vs Chelsea, away to Stamford Bridge. I don't know if i can do this i think as i lay in bed beside Katie. "Ok Baby we need to get ready, you can do this, I will be with you the whole time and if i'm not the other girls will right there beside you." I nod slowly getting out bed making my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth, i look in the mirror 'You can do this' i say to myself and finish getting ready, following Katie downstairs to get some breakfast. It might not seem like it but i have been doing much better considering the state i have been in through the week but i have been out with some of the girls and i have been joining in on some pranks with Leah and Beth, we got Katie real good and she was not happy. I'm not 100% but I'm getting there.

While Katie is cooking some pancakes we have the radio playing softly in the background, we were just enjoying each others company when i heard the familiar tune of the song me and Katie first danced to together after I asked her to be my girlfriend. So i walk up behind her and wrap my arms around her waist turning her around to look at me, "What's with the cheeky smile you" she asks her own smile creeping onto her face, 'It's our song' is all i say before making her dance with me. We dance for a while laughing before Katie decides to start tickling me 'KATIE STOP' i scream while laughing which makes her laugh as well. I pull onto floor while we are laughing and we just lay there for a minute before the smell of something burning fills our noses, "Shit the pancakes" Katie says remembering she was cooking. I laugh again at her cuteness while she fakes being mad at me due to me causing the distraction in the first.

We head out as we need to go to the training ground before we get on the coach. Almost everyone is there, of course we are one of the last to arrive, Beth and Viv keeping the top spot for being late and it's usually Beth's fault as she takes forever to get ready. Once they finally arrive we all pile onto the coach me and Katie falling into our usual seats with Leah, Beth and Viv across as we always take the back so we can all fit in together and off we go. The nerves building up with every minute that pass. What is she going to do to me, will she try anything, what if something happens? These are questions circling around in my mind and i start to panic.

'Katie, I don't think i can do this, what is something happens' i say beginning to panic more. She grabs my hand reassuring me that nothing will happen and if something does then she will deal with it. She kept saying that i am her priority so if she gets sent off for protecting me she doesn't mind. She is so sweet, 'Thank you, What would i do without you' i say smiling and kissing the back of her hand "Get a Room you two" Beth says while faking sick causing us all to laugh.

We arrive at Stamford Bridge, while warming up Sam kept looking at me but she didn't do anything maybe due the daggers Katie was throwing her way with her eyes. We head back in for the final team talk before lining up in the tunnel. "Hope your ready" a familiar voice whispers in my ear sending shivers down my spine, Sam. I remember what Katie said 'just keep looking forward, game face, ignore everyone around you apart from me obviously' so i do just that and before i know it we are walking out onto the pitch both sets of fans screaming trying to drown out the other while they sing their separate chants. This is a feeling i will never get used to.

38' Arsenal regain possession Katie McCabe running up the wing passing the ball to Caitlin Foord how produces a good cross too high for Blake Russo, Mead picks up the Ball on the opposite side of the field before returning it into the box Blake rises and makes contact but a hard tackle from Sam Kerr causes her to fall to the ground.
