Chapter 2

Kairi waited at the tree for Ace and Sabo to get back. She sighed and started messing with her pipe. She decided to fight with a pipe like them instead of using her sword.

"They always take forever when taking treasure. Sheesh," she muttered. "Next time I'm tagging along with one of them in to the Gray Terminal to get money. I'm bored out of my mind waiting for them." It wasn't long til Sabo arrived and climbed up the tree. "It took you long enough."

"Sorry," he said sheepishly grinning at her and she rolled her eyes.

"Now, we gotta wait for Ace." He nodded. It wasn't long before Ace showed up with a bag of treasure.

"Sabo! Kairi! You guys there?!" Ace called up and they scooted over to look where he was at on the ground.

"Oh, Ace!" Sabo said and Kairi smiled down at Ace.

"Sorry I'm late."

"You sure are," Sabo replied.

"Very late," Kairi retorted. 

"I've already done some work in the city," Sabo said standing up and grinning. Ace grinned back.

"Oh yea? Well, I did too," Ace replied and Kairi giggled. He climbed up to them and they both held out their bags.

"At once!" They said opening their bags.

"Ace got more," Kairi said grinning as Sabo looked at it a bit shocked.

"Whoa! You got a lot! A lot more than I did! That's a lot of money! How'd you get that?"

"I robbed some thugs near the main gate!" He replied lifting up his pipe.

"Damn! You won again!" Sabo said taking out the money and looking through it before putting it in their stash.

"It doesn't matter if you win or lose. It's been five years since we started to put money in our "pirate savings," We worked hard for it." Sabo smiled.

"Yes, we did. We're gonna leave the East Blue and go somewhere these people have never dreamed of. It's exciting just to think about it!" Sabo said and Kairi grinned.

"Yup. And I'll be tagging along," Kairi said. They all stared out at the sea and Kairi thought of her dad and what it was like sailing across the vast ocean.

"Now put it away. We can't let anybody see it," Ace said becoming serious.

"I wonder how much we need to get a pirate ship. Kairi, do you know?" Sabo asked and she put a finger on her chin.

"Hmm... Well, it actually depends. You can get one built, you can buy an already built one, or a used one. We'd have to have at least three hundred million berries, maybe," she replied. "It just depends on what kind of ship you're wanting."

"Long way to go," Ace said and Kairi nodded as they all smiled at each other.

"A pirate ship?!" Luffy yelled up to them freaking them out, and Sabo slammed the secret compartment in the tree shut. "You guys! Are you gonna become pirates?! I'm gonna become one, too!" They all gaped at him in shock and Sabo and Ace weren't too happy about him hearing it. Luffy started to chuckle and they looked between each other and nodded. They quickly climbed down the tree to where Luffy was. They all ran at Luffy.

"Be quiet!" they yelled in hushed voices, hitting him on the head. He hit the ground and Sabo and Ace tied Luffy to the tree.

"Ace! I didn't know that you travel this far everyday!" Luffy said excited that he was able to catch up.

"Shut up!" Ace replied.

"Is this the Luffy you were talking about?" Sabo asked with his arms crossed.
