Chapter 34

"Franky! Kairi! You gotta save her!" Luffy yelled after them.

"Just leave it to us!" Kairi yelled.

Soon, they began running up steps as fast as they could. The markings on Kairi's body slowly disappeared and she began panting. 

"Almost there! Don't you dare leave yet, Nico Robin!" Franky yelled.

"Less yelling and more running!" Kairi shouted at him. 

Kairi ran ahead and her hearing quickly adjusted. "Oh, I almost forgot. There's a "surprise" waiting for your little friends. You see, before we crossed the bridge, I set up a landmine at the top of those stairs right over there. So in the unlikely event that someone actually does come to save you, them and the stairs will both go BOOM!!" Spandam boasted and Kairi's eyes widened as she quickly floated off the ground. Spandam continued torturing Robin with his words. Kairi lifted up her head at the last part she heard. "Ohara is dead!!"

"Ohara won't die as long as I live!"

"Oh, yeah?! And how long is that gonna be?!" The landmine blew and Kairi jumped a bit as she seen Franky.

"That idiot blew the landmine." Kairi muttered. "He'll be fine." Kairi turned her eyes back on Spandam and Robin as she kicked off the air. Spandam began dragging Robin by a rope and Kairi landed on it. Her foot cast out a slicing wind, cutting through the rope causing Spandam to fall forward a bit. He spun around and was instantly hit by something. Kairi glanced behind her and seen Usopp standing on the Tower of Law. "Damn. He's that good with a slingshot?" Spandam flew back. all the way down the stairs, and Kairi smirked.

"He was hit! We're under attack! She must have done it!" The marines shouted.

"Actually, that wasn't me. All I did was cut the rope." Kairi replied with a shrug as more and more marines were hit.

"Where's it coming from?!"

"Hey! What's wrong with you?!" Spandam angrily shouted. "Fight back! Don't just stand there! Attack the girl!"

"We can't get close to her without getting hit!" Another marine yelled.

"Kairi... Long nose..." Robin said and Kairi grinned.

"Uhh... There!" A marine yelled as tears brimmed Robin's eyes.

"Robin. The reason you went with them is because of the Buster Call. I know what it's like to lose someone in a Buster Call..."

"Let's go, Kairi." Kyra said and Kairi nodded as she unsheathed her sword. 

"You two sure you can handle this. It is a Buster Call after all." Zoe said and they both nodded and she let out a small laugh.

"Okay. Remember, we're doing this to protect this island. Don't go trying to show off." They both nodded in understanding. "Now that that's settled, let's go! Take out the ships that do not have any Vice Admirals. We'll cut down their forces first." Kairi nodded and they took off. Kairi jumped on to one of the ships while Kyra jumped onto the one next to it. The marines took out their weapons and started attacking. Kairi grinned as some shot at her, the bullets going straight through her.

"I don't think so." She replied lunging towards the marines. She sliced down on one marine, cutting his sword in half. She sent a blast of wind at his stomach and he was sent flying into a bunch of other marines. She sheathed her sword and winds swirled all around them. "This is gonna be fun." Wind swirled around her arms like two tornadoes. She jumped into the air and faced her hands towards the ship. She slammed her hands together and the two tornadoes formed one huge one which sharpened as it slammed into the ship. The ship began cutting in half and Kairi let the air pressure lift as she flipped in the air and kicked wind down at the ship, cutting it the rest of the way.
