The Red Haired Devil

Chapter 9

Kairi looked up at Whitebeard's ship and jumped up to it. She landed on the railing and tipped her hat down. Whitebeard looked over at her as his crew pulled out their weapons.

"What do you want, brat?" he asked and Kairi smirked.

"Where's Portgas D. Ace? My business is with him, not you," she replied standing up from her crouched position.

"What do you want with Ace?" the first division commander, Marco, asked.

"Like I said, my business is with him." 

"You brat!" Whitebeard roared. A couple of his crew charged at her and she sighed as she sent out a burst of Haki, knocking a bunch of them out. Whitebeard's eyes slightly widened when he realized she had the conquering king's Haki like him. Whitebeard started to stand up just as Ace walked onto the deck.

"What's going on?" he asked.

"Some girl's asking for you and she just knocked out a lot of the crew," Marco explained and Kairi jumped down onto the deck.

"Where is she?!" he asked, angered and Marco pointed toward her and Ace approached her. "Who are you?!" Kairi smirked.

"You don't remember me? That's mean! I took time in trying to find you and you don't even remember me." Kairi tipped her hat up and her eyes locked with Ace's. After a minute of glaring at her, his anger dispersed and his eyes widened as he gaped at her.

"No way..." he whispered and she smiled.

"It's been a while, hasn't it?" she asked and the entire crew looked between them confused.

"I-I thought you were dead... How are you here?" he asked.

"Do you know her, Ace?" Whitebeard asked and he nodded.

"She's my sister," he replied and the entire crew gaped in shock and Kairi laughed.

"Sorry about knocking out some of your crew. I-" Kairi was cut off as Ace pulled her into a hug.

"You're alive!" he cried a bit and Kairi hugged him back.

"Yes, I'm alive."

"But how?" he asked pulling back and she grinned.

"I was saved by Dragon and now I'm in the Revolutionary Army. I'm out here looking for Luffy and my dad now since I already found you."

"Yo-You're in the Revolutionary Army?"

"Uh-huh! By the way, from your crew's reaction, I'm guessing you didn't tell them anything about me. Anyways, do you have any idea where my dad could be?" He shook his head no and she sighed.

"Who's your dad?" Marco asked catching her attention.

"Red Haired Shanks," she replied nonchalantly catching Whitebeard's attention. No wonder she has conquering king's Haki! 

"You should stay and eat with us, or maybe join the-" She cut Ace off.

"Not happenin'. I'm a revolutionary," she replied and the crew just stood there and watched them.

"Oh yeah! I didn't introduce you to the crew. Guys, this is my sister, Kairi!" Ace introduced and then started naming off the people of Whitebeard's crew. There were so many names she didn't think she'd be able to remember them all. Thatch, the commander of the fourth division showed up with a devil fruit in hand. Kairi noticed Teach watching Thatch and eyeballing the fruit.

"Speaking of Devil Fruits, I ate one. Mine's the Air Air Fruit. I can manipulate air, and I can fly too! It's awesome!" 

"I ate one too. It's called the Flame Flame Fruit."
