No matter the situation, the environment, the negativity, the toxicity and despite being a mere child growing up in such circumstances, in the end you would be blamed. Regardless of anything and anyone, how you spend your time and the choices you make are your responsibility. This is what people see, what the world sees. You will regret the time wasted on expecting something you'd never recieve. And time will only move forwards. It stops for no one. You made those choices and you were the one who could not see beyond yourself. Blind self sabotage ignorant to what was best, thinking you were doing right, that it wasn't something you'd regret. The truth is that you simply failed to master your circumstance and weild it to your advantage. One really must make the best of anything, however dark it may be, to live a life without regret. No one's going to be a child forever, those that let external factors define them will eventually come to know how they've lost. They will see that they too had a hand in the outcome of the present. They didn't like their circumstances and made decisions that further distanced them from where they wanted to be.
Its easy to blame others, it's easy to fall into bad habits, it's easy to give up. Its easy to say you have no other choice and make excuses, especially growing up in a hopeless place. You'll fall so deep into your misery that you can't recognize any good that comes your way. However justified you felt, there will eventually come a time when you will realize that now the fault lies with you too.
