I want to tell you that I love you, I want to tell you that I miss you a lot;
If only I could speak those words to you, but sadly I cannot.
I want to tell you about all that I've learnt and how my days have been;
With a heavy heart I admit that I can't do that, as the world can sometimes be so mean.
There are so many things I wish for and many of those involve you too;
so let me tell you in a message and hope that it reaches you.
Things changed suddenly, they were so different this time last year;
I'm wishing you a happy Father's Day, although you cannot be here.
I stop and think of you, remembering laughter, peace and love;
Then I remember all that I miss, each time I look up above.
No one and nothing can change what I've lost, moving forward is a must;
Of course it takes time to sink in, and then time to adjust.
In heaven on Father's Day, is where you will be; so for now dad, this message sends hugs and kisses from me.
