It's true, we were laughing just a few days before I went away, it all seems so sudden, I hope you understand that I couldn't stay.
You seem confused, upset and angry at times, I know It's hard to believe.
You just remember there's no time limit, and no right or wrong way to grieve.
Do this in your own way and I'll guide you as much as I can.
I wish I could be there in person, but god has his own plan.
As you grow you'll understand and eventually see, that although I had a place with you, in heaven is where I need to be.
Remember the great times, the precious memories we made, these will always stay with me, they'll never fade.
Walk with a smile for I will forever be by your side, chase your dreams, continue to fill me with pride.
I may have rested my eyes, put my hard working hands at rest, now my heart is no longer beating through my chest.
You carry my heart with you, as I carry yours with me, I'll see you soon, whenever that day may be.
