In the beginning it was so much fun,
A friendship, that can never be undone.We had years upon years, of love, laughter, and tears.
There was laughter, so much laughter;
Who could have seen what was to come thereafter.Late nights, family fun, days out in the sun.
Dinners, barbecues, and a day out at the zoo.
Cinema and shopping trips;
Then words of sweetness came from your lips.I fell, you caught me, and this was the start..
Of you trying, to get ahold of my heart.Naughty nights, we almost got caught;
I struggled deeply with that thought.You pull me closer, I pull away;
You must have known I couldn't stay.It worked, you got me, but this wasn't meant to be;
In the stars, your name isn't written for me.You said it was true, that your heart was mine;
You almost had me, with that one line.I want to go back, you say it can't be done;
I remind you;
Our friendship can never be undone.Yet slowly it fades, the drifting begins;
You're quick to tell me about my sins.Everything's different, it's not the same;
Yet we still hold on, to the dying flame.Then one day, out of the blue, you're no longer there..
please wait, we still have so many things to share.You left the world,
I'll see you never,
A missing piece,
Gone forever.In the beginning it was so much fun,
A friendship;
That can never be undone.
