The next morning, I ran into Renna and Kev again. Renna didn't waste any time and got right to the point. "Are you coming to a party?" she asked in a silly way.

I asked with an eyebrow raised. "Which party?"

"Kev's birthday party," Renna said, her voice a little excited.

I gave a casual shrug. "Sorry, I haven't gotten the invitation yet," I said, feeling a little bad about myself.

Renna turned to Kev with anger on her face. "Jerk, I ask you to handle one damn job, and you have no shame to keep it on hold. You know, I would have done it if I had known your friends here in Glisten."

Kev tried his best to give Renna the most innocent look. "I promise, I'll get it done by today."

I shook my head and said goodbye to them because whenever Kev and I were in the company of other people, we would talk through people, and when we were by ourselves, we would just fool around.

I was engrossed in the task of finalizing the photos that Blaine had sent me for the magazine. Every image seems perfect than the previous one. I was so lost in the flawless beauty that failed to notice Alyssa had entered my office. She cleared her throat to get my attention. She was saying something about Kev's party.

Without tearing my gaze away from the screen, I gestured towards the photographs displayed on my computer and remarked, "Forget about that silly party for a moment and take a look at these pictures. How could someone look that perfect?"

Alyssa walked up to my side and started looking at the images I was looking at. "By god, this kind of figure required full focus and dedication. As we were talking, we heard the knock, and both looked at the door.

In the midst of our conversation, we heard the knock, and both looked at the door. Kev was standing waiting for us to acknowledge his presence.

My curiosity grew stronger by his surprise visit to my office. I put a smile on my face and asked. "How can I help you, Mr. Kev Moller?"

Alyssa excused us and walked out of my office, leaving me alone with Kev.

Kev invited me to his party. I responded with a forced grin, "Even if you hadn't come in person, I would have attended the party. I am looking forward to getting along with Renna, I like her."

Kev responded before turning around to leave. "Renna would be happy to see you."

I stopped him by asking. "What about you?"

Kev rubbed the back of his head. "I would be honored to have you in my party." then he walked away.

The moment Kev left my office my phone started to ring, and Aurora's name flashed on my screen. I answered the call, eager to hear what she had to say.

"Yes, how can I assist you?" I inquired, curious about the reason for her call.

Aurora chuckled on the other end of the line before responding, "You can assist me by wearing heels tomorrow."

Perplexed, I questioned, "Does the entire city of Glisten know about Kev's party tomorrow?"

Aurora's laughter continued, and she clarified, "You're such a goofball. I'm in charge of catering for the party."

Realizing that I now had a genuine reason to attend the event, I exclaimed, "Well, now I have some motivation to go to the party."

Aurora laughed hard. "You bitch, already planning to go to Kev's party and now hiding behind my food."
