Y/N stood on the top of the mountain shrine completely entranced by all of the Wisteria. It was there to keep the demons in, and humans out; hence why so many people died here, as she was told by Kyojuro in one of his letters.
She looked around on the ground and saw many plants she recognized, and some she had never seen.
But oh my, it was the Wisteria.
She kept brushing her hands over the purple flower that seemed to radiate a sense of power. Y/N couldn't stop touching it. Some people gave her odd looks as she messed around in awe of it all. Screw Final Selection, she wanted to stay in the beautiful place.
She had already scoped out her entire competition. No on stood out to her. There was one guy, who was mildly tall and had a strong build, but there was nothing behind his aura. No one had anything behind theirs. And it was then that Y/N assumed, and knew that she would probably be the only one making it out alive.
Nonetheless, she busied herself studying the plants and their not-so-foreign anatomies. She didn't even have to listen to Kiriya and Kanata drone on about the rules. She knew what she was here for, and she had trained for it for years without even knowing that it existed. She had this.
Just survive seven days in a demon-infested area, and come back to the top of the shrine alive, and in one piece. Simple.
So after all of the talking, they finally released the soon-to-be Demon Slayers into the area, and let them fend for themselves.

It was just as Y/N had predicted. She was the only one alive in the end. It was sad and extremely disheartening for her to see. But she now had a job to do and a new title to uphold.
"Welcome back, Nature Hashira, Chikyuu-sama." The two said in absolute unison. Y/N found it rather creepy.
"Now that you are an official member of the Demon Slayer Corps, you are granted the use of a Kusugai Crow." And as if on cue, a small crow came fluttering down, and perched on her head. Or, she thought it was a crow.
It was a tiny, brown bird that had a crown of white rimmed with black on its head. She found these always chirping and singing in the trees back at her estate, so seeing something that reminded her of it made her feel warm. She didn't even know the proper species, but upon seeing this, she would have to do some research.
"Now, you will choose an ore for your weapon." The twins uncovered a table lined with tons of precious ores. It was in that moment that Y/N was exceptionally grateful for her extensive knowledge on anything surrounding nature. She knew the most durable, the most costly, the brittlest, the weakest, the most conductant... her chest swelled with pride in herself.
She picked up one of the ores that she knew would be nice. It was durable, but was less malleable when put under extreme heat, meaning that if she were to get in a bad fight, it would take a lot for her sword to chip or break.
"This one. Also... I'm sure Oyakata-sama has mentioned it, but I wield the nag-"
"Master has already made preparations for your blade."
"Ah."
That had caught her off guard. She nibbled on her bottom lip behind the mask.
"Your uniform will be sent with your naginata. As a Hashira, you have the ability to alter your uniform to make it more adaptable to your breathing style. If you would like to change anything, please write it down on this sheet of paper. It will be sent in to the tailors."
With that, creativity seemed to spark many ideas in her head. She grinned, reaching for the fountain pen that was being handed to her.
Easily sketching for a couple of minutes and giving some preferred lengths and tips, Y/N finally handed over the paper to the siblings.
