Meredith's POV-
*couple weeks later*

I woke up and tossed searching for Arizona. I sat up realizing she wasn't next to me. I got up, making my way to the bathroom, doing my daily routine. After I was done I made my way down the stairs, searching for my girlfriend.

I looked everywhere she could be. I checked the kitchen, living room, dining room, library, garden, and the common area, but she was nowhere to be found. I started to get worried because what happened? I walked back upstairs, but I felt something off. I looked down the other hallway and notice a light crept out of one of the guest rooms.

I walked down and peeked through the door. Seeing as it was an empty room with a rocking chair in the middle of the room on a nice multicolored area rug, and the walls were colored a neutral light beige color, unlike the other white rooms in the house. Arizona was sitting in the chair, facing the window. I heard sniffles, my poor baby. I noticed she had her phone to her ear, assuming she was on the phone.

"I know mom, I just wish I wasn't such a klutz and maybe I would've still been you know." She spoke into the phone. After a few seconds she spoke again; "I know mommy but I can't help it. I just feel empty." My heart broke. I don't know how to fix this. I walked into the room, opening the door. Arizona turned around as she heard the door open. She faced the window again, wiping her tears.

"Oh mom I need to go, i'll call you later? Bye love you." She quickly hung up but stayed sat facing the window. I walked up behind her. Stroking her hair. "What's wrong baby?" I asked, still playing with her hair. "Nothing" she whispered but I could tell she wasn't.

I walked in front of her and bent down to her level. Holding her hands in mine. "You can talk to me about it you know?" I said, trying to make eye contact with her so she knew I was genuine but she refused to face me. She nodded her head replying; "I know it's jus- I don't really want to talk about it yet." I wiped the tears streaming down her cheeks.

"That's okay." I responded, I wasn't sure what to do or say. "Do you need me to do anything?" I asked. She looked hesitant to answer. "I don't think so babe." she finally replied. I nodded my head.

"I love you." I said, try to find any emotion on her face but she didn't show any. "I love you too." She replied. I stood up and kissed her head. I soon left the room, to give her some privacy. I walked back to our shared bedroom, since I moved in with her.

I sat in bed watching tiktoks, hoping she'd be ready to talk to.
