Ashvi glided into Yuvan's room, her presence commanding the space. As she approached him, his gaze locked onto hers, radiating an unspoken anticipation. His eyes, like two shimmering pools, seemed to hold a deep longing, as if he had been waiting solely for her arrival.

Placing the steaming food on the nearby table, Ashvi announced softly, "Your food." Yuvan's response was unexpected - a low, husky growl that sent shivers down her spine. His words, laced with , mischievous

"My food is right in front of me."

Ashvi's ears hadn't caught the subtle nuance, but her heart skipped a beat nonetheless.

" what ," she asked , her voice barely above a whisper.

Yuvan's warm smile could melt ice. "I just thanked you for bringing my food. I was starving." His eyes crinkled at the corners, and Ashvi's cheeks flushed.

As she prepared to leave for work, Ashvi rose from the bed, but Yuvan's swift movement caught her off guard. He grasped her hand, his fingers intertwining with hers, and gently pulled her closer. The space between them dissolved, their bodies inches apart. Yuvan's breathing caressed her face, sending her heart into a frantic rhythm. Her stomach fluttered like a caged bird.

"Where are you headed?" Yuvan's deep voice vibrated through her entire being.

"I...I have to go to work," Ashvi stammered, her eyelids drifting downward, veiling her emotions.

Yuvan's grip on her hand tightened, his touch igniting sparks. The air thickened with tension, heavy with unspoken words.

Yuvan's face fell, his bright smile dissolving into a poignant sadness as Ashvi prepared to leave. He yearned for her presence, craving more moments with her. His mind racing, he sought a convincing excuse to detain her.

"How can you leave like this?" he murmured to himself, his brow furrowed in distress. "Can't you take today off...for me?" His words trailed off, lost in thought.

Suddenly, an idea struck him. "Yes, that's it!" He turned to Ashvi, his eyes pleading. "You've brought food for me, but how can I eat with these plaster-covered hands?" He displayed his bandaged hands, his expression transforming into a pitiful grimace.

"Everyone's busy, my brother and sister-in-law are at work...the household staff is occupied. Please, Ashvi, feed me with your own hands?" His voice trembled, his eyes welling up with mock despair.

Ashvi's resolve crumbled under Yuvan's sorrowful gaze. She mistook his clever ruse for genuine discomfort and couldn't resist his innocent plea. Releasing her hand from his gentle grasp, she picked up the plate from the side table.

"I'll feed you," she said softly, her eyes locked on his.

Yuvan's face lit up with triumph, though he concealed it behind a mask of gratitude. "Thank you, baby " he whispered, his voice infused with sincerity , making her blush

As Ashvi spoon-fed Yuvan the warm porridge, his unwavering gaze ensnared hers, sending shivers coursing down her spine. The intensity of his stare pierced through her soul, stirring emotions she couldn't quite grasp. Her heart galloped, and her stomach fluttered like a hummingbird's wings.

Seeking composure, Ashvi pressed her lips together, casting her eyes downward. But Yuvan's low, husky voice shattered the silence.

"Please don't bite your lips like that; they're mine to bite." His playful tone dripped with mischief. "And look at me, Ashvi. Your eyes sparkle when they meet mine."

Ashvi's gaze snapped back to his, only to find Yuvan feigning innocence, averting his eyes.

"Maine kuch nahi bola, aapne kuch suna kya?" ("I didn't say anything, did you hear?") he murmured, his voice laced with pretend nonchalance.
