CHAPTER 13 ♡

Vihaan came back with sandwiches and placed them in front of Kunal and Shreyansh. They dug into the food like they hadn't eaten in days.

"Bro, you seriously have some magic in your hands " Kunal exclaimed between bites.

"Your future wife will be so lucky to have a cook like you," he added with a grin. Vihaan, giving an eye roll, told them

, "Now that you're full, get out of my place so I can get some sleep."

Shreyansh, lounging on the couch, retorted, "Who said we were leaving after eating?"

Kunal added,

"Tonight, we're crashing here. This house is ours too, buddy. You can't kick us out." Ignoring Vihaan's protests, Kunal got up, headed upstairs, and Vihaan tried to stop him with a shout of

"Heyy, stop!

"
Shreyansh was smiling as he watched Kunal and Vihaan bicker like kids, reminiscing about their childhood squabbles and deep bond. They've always been like brothers, willing to do anything for each other, even without any blood relation. They're always there for each other through thick and thin.
Shreyansh got up from the sofa and lightly put his hand on Vihaan's shoulder, saying,

"Getting so much angry isn't good for you.
C'mon, let's take rest "

"Shreyansh," Vihaan grumbled, calling out to him.
"You should head home, . She's probably waiting for you," Vihaan suggested, thinking about Arya.

"Vihaan," Shreyansh replied sternly, giving him a look, "You don't need to worry about her . Let's go upstairs." Shreyansh said, pulling Vihaan along with him.

Once they opened the door to the room, they saw Kunal already lying on the bed, busy on his phone

". 'You were feeling sleepy, what are you doing now?'" Vihaan asked as he approached him.

" 'Nothing, yaar, a girl at the hospital messed with me. She just joined and caused a big mess, that's why I was upset,"' Kunal explained, recalling the incident at the hospital. 'Oh, a girl,' Vihaan and Shreyansh chimed in teasingly.

Kunal made a face at them and replied,
: 'It's not what you're thinking.' 'Nothing, yaar, I had a small argument with her today, and she blew it out of proportion. She's a pro in arguing and wouldn't stop talking. My head started hurting from her endless chatter, so I came over here,'' Kunal shared, sounding a bit like he was venting.

Listening to his words, Shreyansh and Vihaan burst into loud giggles.

"'The one who always gives others a hard time is finally getting a taste of it today,""' Vihaan remarked.

" 'I have to thank that girl from the bottom of my heart for giving you a hard time,'" Shreyansh chimed in with a mischievous smile. As they teased him, Kunal grabbed a pillow and charged towards them, exclaiming,

"'I won't let you both off the hook today! How dare you side with that girl instead of supporting me?'" Shreyansh and Vihaan grabbed pillows too, and soon the three of them were playfully fighting like kids, laughing and hitting each other. Eventually, they all collapsed on the bed, exhausted. Vihaan reminisced, "'It's been years since we've had a fight like this, just like the old days.'"

""Finally, after so many years, we're actually spending time together without work getting in the way. It's not that we don't hang out, but these days work just takes up all our time," Kunal grumbled. Vihaan and Shreyansh nodded in agreement. They all lounged in silence for a bit until Vihaan turned to Shreyansh and suggested,

"You know what, man? You should head home now. You seem to be in a good mood, and Arya must be waiting for you." Shreyansh couldn't help but remember Arya's teary eyes when he last saw her, and the memory of her tears stirred up emotions he didn't want to acknowledge.
