Vihaan stood frozen, his arms wrapped tightly around Trisha, as if unwilling to let her go. Trisha's gentle caresses on his back soothed his frazzled nerves, offering comfort.

The darkness had been a refuge, but as the lights flickered back to life, Vihaan's eyes snapped open. His gaze locked onto Trisha's, and his expression transformed.

"You lied to me," he accused, his tone serious, his voice low and even. He separated from her, his eyes narrowing.

Only then the light speard all over the room

Trisha's eyes widened, anticipating his anger. "Huh?" she ventured, unsure.

Vihaan's voice rose, his words tumbling out in a rush. "You lied to me when I asked if you were home. You said you were watching TV, but you were out, traveling alone at night." His anger stemmed from concern, his protective instincts on high alert.

Trisha bit her tongue, regret etched on her face. She knew she had worried him unnecessarily. Embracing him from behind, she sought forgiveness.

"Forgive me, Vihaan. I couldn't help it. I felt an overwhelming urge to see you, to be with you. I was alone at home, and I couldn't shake the feeling." Her words spilled out, a gentle plea.

Vihaan's expression remained stern, his tone unyielding. "Why? Where is Raghav?" he demanded, his concern for Trisha's safety still simmering.

"Bhai is a professor, so he went to a camp with his university students," Trisha explained, her voice muffled against Vihaan's back as she held him tightly.

Vihaan's tension lingered, his concern for her safety still palpable. Trisha sensed it and turned him towards her, her eyes locking onto his.

"Sorry, I know you're angry with me for traveling alone, but don't consider me so weak," she said, her voice laced with a mix of defiance and vulnerability. "I can protect myself if trouble comes." Her words were a gentle reassurance.

Vihaan's expression softened, his eyes filled with emotion. "I know you can protect yourself, Trisha. You're not weak," he said, his voice trembling. "But think about me for once. I was terrified when I thought of you alone on the road. Nowadays, you can't trust anyone. Who knows what might happen in the next moment?" His words spilled out, a desperate plea.

His voice cracked as memories of past losses flooded his mind. "I've already lost enough people, Trisha. I just..." He couldn't finish, his emotions overwhelming him.

Trisha's eyes welled up with tears, her heart aching for Vihaan's pain. She wrapped her arms around him, holding him close.

Vihaan's arms enveloped her, pulling her into a tight embrace. His face buried in her neck, he struggled to compose himself. The fear of losing her had shaken him to his core.

As they held each other, Trisha's gentle whispers soothed Vihaan's frayed nerves. "I'm here, Vihaan. I'm safe. I won't put myself in harm's way again, I promise." Her words were a balm to his soul.

Vihaan's grip on her tightened, his love for her overflowing. "I couldn't bear losing you, Trisha. You're my everything." His whispered confession hung in the air, a testament to their unbreakable bond.

Vihaan's voice cracked, his words barely above a whisper. "I don't know, Trisha, but even the thought of you getting scratched makes my breathing stop. If anything happens to you, I won't be able to live. I'll die, Trisha. Really, I don't have the courage anymore to lose someone I love." His voice heavy with emotion, the weight of his words hung in the air.

Trisha sensed the depth of his pain, her heart aching for him. She called out softly, "Vihaan?" her voice laced with concern.

Vihaan's groan was almost imperceptible, his body tensing as he inhaled Trisha's fragrance, seeking solace.
