They stared at the article title. It had been months since break up was announced, they did not believe it. But so far, there was no change. Yazmine Carter had faded into dust, and Devonte Taylor was living a quiet life.
No headlines. No scandals. No damning pictures. Had they really both moved on? Was the relationship really over? Were they happy?
They thought about requesting Yazmine's instagram again. Last time, their request had just sat there, undeclined, unaccepted. They had determined that Yazmine did not accept anyone she did not know personally, but they had some ideas around it, if she wasn't as meticulous as she seemed. But she was. Every dummy account went unaccepted and unacknowledged.
And every social media was private, except her art page, where she only posted her art. No selfies. No locations. Not even really any hashtags. Just hauntingly beautiful paintings. Even the paintings gave no clues. They ranged in the display of emotions, the subjects ranged in age, and color. It gave nothing substantial.
They wanted to go by Yaz's apartment and see, catch a glimpse of her. But they couldn't. She had security.
But maybe... No, it was too risky. It would expose them. And they didn't want the fun to end. Not just yet.
Not until they had accomplished their ultimate goal.
They smiled.
