Yazmine

I sat in the seat, nervously. I was early, because I wanted to be the first person to arrive, I wanted to be able to just sit back and watch him come in, instead of the other way around.

Trey's slow ass thought we should all go out to eat at a nice restaurant and reminisce and also catch up. But I could feel in my heart this was a bad idea.

The restaurant was nice. Like, so upscale and classy, and I was used to nice restaurants but I never been to a restaurant on this level. I looked around at all the glamorous looking diners and tried not to feel under dressed. I tried to get done up, but my Calvin Klein dress ain't have nothing on all the designer other girls were wearing. But I still looked good.

My hair was in a weave, and it fell in bouncy waves around my face, framing it. The only make up on my face was winged eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss, but I looked bomb. My skin had been acting right lately. My dress was white, and the v-neck teased a lil cleav, then hugged my body in all the right places. If I was gonna see Devonte, I was gonna make it look sexy.

I checked my phone for the third time, bringing my Sprite to my lips. My eyes darted, searching for Trey and Devonte. And then I spotted him.

He sauntered in, trailing a hostess, a slight smirk on his face. He looked so fucking good. I never seen his ass dressed up, but he wore the fuck out of his clothes. All that caramel skin, that muscular frame, those beautiful lips. His brown eyes danced with something I couldn't identify. Even though his clothes ain't look cheap, they also ain't look like they cost as much as a small car. Tae was never the type to spend too much on clothes. Shoes were different. I noticed a thin chain around his neck that sparkled with real diamonds. So he was iced out now.

Trey was behind him, hand in Stacey's. She looked gorgeous, in a blood red jumpsuit, her hair up in a high bun. Even Trey's goofy ass was dressed up. Nigga had on a tie and everything, I was proud of him. Then Devonte met my eyes, and I froze. I wanted to look away, but his gaze had me trapped. My heart pounded furiously, and my throat felt dry.

I finally looked away, snatching up my Sprite and gulping it down, so fast I almost choked. "Yassss boo!" Stacey pulled me up into her arms, admiring my outfit. "Slay my fucking life!"

"Stop," I said weakly, mustering up a smile. "That's all you."

Trey pulled out a chair for Stacey and she sat down, unaware of the tension that was growing. Because Devonte was staring at me but he made no move to speak.

"What's good sis." Trey gave me a half hug. He also gave a smirk as he took in my outfit. "I see what's going on."

The whole time Devonte has been eyeing me cooly.

"Ain't nothin going on," I grumbled. "Devonte. How have you been? It's been a long time..."
Since he obviously wasn't gonna speak first I took the initiative.

"Hey, Yazmine. I've been good. How about yourself?" He spoke emotionlessly, as if he was just trying to be polite and actually had no interest in the question he asked.

So this was how it was gonna be. I nodded, knowing I probably looked stupid.

"Pretty good. Ready for this semester to be over."

Devonte finally sat down. The seating arrangements placed him right across from me. Stacey sat to my right and Trey was across from her, on my left.

There was a lull in the conversation as a waitress appeared. She was beyond gorgeous, and obviously used to dealing with celebrities. After all, the restaurant we were in seemed to cater to them. She had blemish free, beautiful brown skin, green doe eyes, with cute eyeliner, perfectly arched eyebrows and long brown hair up in a slicked back ponytail.
