The news of the blood moon and the howls of the winter wolves spread like wildfire, inviting tourists and hunters to Moontown. Even paranormal experts and anthropologists were suddenly drawn to the town once again. This may be good for the town, but not for people like Pablo. His entire clan has been living in the forest since before there was even a town. Having hunters in the forest is dangerous for all of them, especially him.
"Pablo, is everything okay?" Chris Rae asked his son over dinner.
"Yes, Dad," Pablo replied, but it was evident that something was bothering him.
"You haven't been yourself since the last full moon. What's going on?" Chris pressed further.
"Dad's right. We're worried about you, big brother." Frank added. Worry is evident in his voice.
"You know that you can talk to us about anything, right?" Samantha, the youngest of the three siblings, added.
Elena is quietly observing her family. She feels proud that all her children are close; they all love each other dearly, but her attention is mainly on Pablo. He remained quiet, but she could feel something was bothering him. Her son is the calmest teenager she has ever known, especially with the condition they have. A short temper and aggressive nature are innate to any one of them.
"I said I'm fine!" The whole family was shocked when Pablo slammed his fist on the table as his eyes glowed, and that's when Elena noticed what was wrong.
"Pablo, where's your necklace?" Everyone looked at her, confused, but her eyes were locked in on Pablo. She had seen him like that before.
"Mom?" It was almost as if Pablo had a nightmare earlier, and it was her voice that woke him up. He looked at his mother with confusion in his eyes.
"Where's your necklace?"
Pablo's confusion turned into realization, then to fear when he touched his neck and found out that his necklace was missing. Without uttering another word, he ran as fast as he could out of the house and to his motorcycle. According to his parents, his grandpa gave him the necklace when he was born, and that's why it was so important to him. He only takes off the necklace when it's full moon to avoid losing it, but for some reason, he forgot to leave it at home a few days ago.
Their elders forbade them from going deep into the forest because of the presence of the hunters. It's dangerous for people like him to be around those northerners, but he doesn't have a choice. That necklace is the only memory he has of his grandfather, and he can't lose it. When he reached his spot by the edge of the forest, he parked his motorcycle and started tiptoeing. He was doing his best not to make a sound and not disturb the hunters, but as fate would have it, he stepped into a fallen branch. It snapped under his weight and made a noise that echoed in the air.
"Oh, God," Pablo whispered as time stood still when he saw the figure of a man not too far away from him. The next thing he knew, a loud bang ripped through the silence in the woods.

There are many nights when sleep seems to be elusive for Justin. Ever since his parents were murdered, his life has been nothing but silence and loneliness, but tonight is the worst. By seven in the evening, he was already trying to sleep, but by three, he was still awake. When he finally fell asleep, he immediately succumbed to a terrifying nightmare. After what felt like forever, he almost jumped out of bed. Waking up panting and covered in sweat, it took him a minute before he finally realized that he was in his room.
"Why do I keep having this nightmare where I am with him? What does that mean? What's happening with me?" He asked himself, looking at his parent's framed photo with tears in his eyes.
