"Hey, guys. Has anyone seen Jeffrey?"

"I think he didn't report for work today."

"Again?"

"Jules, can you come by his house before you go home? He's been a No-Call-No-Show for three days."

"You got it, boss."

Jules went to the Carters to visit his dear friend. He even brought some food if ever he was not feeling well. It was so unlike Jeffrey to be out without notifying their boss. He was awarded Employee of the Year three years in a row for his dedication. The drive from their office to Harris Hill only took fifteen minutes, but when Jules parked his car in front of the house, he saw that the front door was open. His forehead creased in confusion.

"Oh, my God! What is that smell?" A horrible stench attached his nose as he got closer to the house. It was pretty far from other houses, so it was no wonder if the neighbors hadn't noticed it.

"Jeffrey? Crystal?" He finally got to the front door and saw dried blood on the welcome mat. "Oh, no... Jeffrey! Crystal!"

The discovery of the Carter Murder sent Moontown into unparalleled panic. More families packed their belongings and left. Properties that were about to be sold got canceled, and those that remained in town are now arming themselves. All the hotels, motels, and inns in town are now booked with residents who were terrified to sleep in their homes. The profiling team has finally made a statement announcing that they were not treating Rupert as a serial killer. News reports were now calling him a family annihilator.

And because of what's been going on in Moontown, four black trucks bearing an ancient insignia arrived in town. The profiling team and the entire sheriff's department were stunned when military-looking men armed with guns and ammo got out of the trucks, led by an old yet dangerous-looking man. He walked with a cane, yet he didn't look like he even needed it. That man was Francis Jaeger, the founder and CEO of Jaeger Security & Private Services.

"Excuse me, gentlemen. Can we help you?" Sheriff Willows stepped out of the fruit store to greet the newcomers.

"Good noon, sheriff. Francis Jaeger of Jaeger Security & Private Services. The king sent me to lend a hand in the search for Rupert Lexington." Francis confidently gave the king's order to the sheriff.

"I knew you were coming, Father." Everyone turned around to see the head of the new family in town walking nonchalantly to greet his father. "Hello, brother." He then turned to his older brother.

"You have a psychotic killer on the loose, Fred. That is not good for business."

"Unit Chief Garner, is there a place where we can talk so my people know how we can help?" The head of the Jaeger family turned to the profiling team.

"I've heard so much about you and your team of hunters, but is it really necessary to bring an army to hunt down one man?" Unit Chief Garner asked, looking at all the hunters.

"One man who killed his own parents and brutally murdered an entire family and is still at large? I thought I came in shorthanded."

The profiling team looked at each other, knowing full well how dangerous private armies could be. Because of the king's order, they couldn't ask the Jaegers to stand down, but they knew they had to try and control, or things could turn for the worse.

Nobody could ever keep a secret from Arthur Alexander, and Joshua knew that, but he didn't care. After he recovered from his punishment for skipping school with Ken, he went back to school, and the first person he looked for was Ken. Everyone was talking about the brutal murder of the Carters and the now-orphaned little Lea. From what he gathered, Lea got lost out of panic and went to the woods instead of the sheriff's station. She was found by a forest ranger the same day that her family's dead bodies were discovered.
