"Call me if you hear anything, alright?"Pablo reminded Josh when he exited the car near the dirt road to their home.
"Yeah, you do the same," Josh replied.
The two of them decided to split up to cover more ground. Josh spoke to Ken's grandfather, who said they would do everything to find Ken and protect his family. It would have been enough since they had well-trained people at their disposal, but Josh wasn't convinced. They decided to seek help from their family, and Raes, the largest family in Moontown, was an advantage. Pablo told Josh that he would come home, but the truth was he had to lose Josh in his tail.
When Josh's car finally disappeared from his view, Pablo ran back to the Jaegers' home as fast as he could. As werewolves, he and his family already knew Ken's scent. They could find him, but his relatives who hadn't met had to have something they could use. He arrived at Ken's home after ten minutes. It was still early, and he entered the house without being seen. He came home to have his relatives sniff his clothes without wasting time.
"Son, you have to be prepared. We may not find your friend alive." One of his uncles said. Pablo knew he could be right.
"Uncle Tim is right. Be prepared, cousin." His cousin, Allen, added.
"He's alive; I can feel it," Pablo said, sincerely believing his friend was still alive.
"What is with that kid? I've never seen you care so much for anyone outside this family until now." His other uncle asked.
Pablo looked at his family and relatives. They were all waiting for his answer. Instead, he took in a deep breath. "Find him."
"Whew! He really is the future alpha." Carl, one of his younger cousins, whistled when they saw Pablo's eyes glow. "You heard the guys. Let's move!"
All the young Raes ran in different directions, their sense of smell locked in on Ken's. The older generations of Raes went to their cars to conduct their own search. In times like that, the entire pack would come together, regardless of who needed help. They have been the protectors of Moontown from the beginning, sacrificing their lives and safety to protect its people. Knowing that a friend of their future alpha was in danger, every pack member was obliged to lend a hand.
Pablo took the eastern part of the town from Ken's house. He used his senses to follow the scent he caught from his friend's house. His cousins and uncles passed by the house before him while the others snuck in the previous night. They all caught a scent that was all too familiar, which was something he couldn't understand. He tried to find any information inside the house to help him understand why vampires would take his friend, but he didn't see anything.
"Josh, any news?" While searching the town's borders, Pablo received a call from Josh.
[I got something. It's not much, but I think I'm getting close. You?] Josh replied.
"I got something. Meet me at the easter border, by the mile marker."

As the day passed, Justin and Vester became anxious about waiting, especially Justin. He knew there was something he could do to help find Ken, but Vester's presence made it impossible for him to do what he needed to do. It was already three in the afternoon, and his chest wouldn't stop beating so fast. He could feel something dark was coming, and there he was, sitting in his living room like a scared little kid.
"Whoah! What's going on?" Vester panicked when the house started shaking. Justin remained quiet, trying to calm himself down. The more he got anxious, the more his energy became restless.
"Vester, how's your uncle?" He asked out of nowhere.
"Are you kidding me? We just had an earthquake, and you're asking about my uncle? I'm going to post it. I hope everyone's safe." Vester blurted out.
