Gelan lifted her coat and smiled as she left to go home while Yunlan and Chu climbed the stairs passing Daqing on his way down, and Yunlan shouted to him.

Don't transform in reception until we find the two missing deathstalker scorpions or they could kill you, that's what was in the gift box," and he kept walking towards his office as Daqing continually stared at the floor on his way out of the building.

"We have to stop this guy Chu. Tomorrow we'll work out a plan and attack his base. He left the same gift at my front door, and Wei found it. He knew where I lived all along, so why did he leave it there now? Wei thinks that he might be having doubts about my death and he was making sure, or it was left for the first person to find it. He's getting personal, and it's not about the office anymore, he's getting a taste for this kind of behaviour."

Chu knew that he was right, and it meant that they were all at risk, and he wondered if he knew all their addresses. Yunlan summoned a guard to take him to Wei's house, but asked for a favour from him first.

"Could you please scan reception for two missing scorpions, they need to be removed before the staff return tomorrow," and he watched as the guard disappeared for a moment before he returned, holding one in each hand by their tails as they squirmed.

"What would you like me to do with them?" He asked Yunlan.

"Kill them preferably, but put them in a box and give them to Chu. He could probably use them in some way."

Chu stared at him wondering what exactly goes on in his brain sometimes, but he understood. Yunlan was thinking about treatments or antidotes which he knew nothing about, but had assumed that Chu did. It had been another hectic day and Yunlan was tired, so he left Chu to lock up while the guard transported him to Wei's house and said goodnight before leaving. Ying was waiting with a mug of coffee ready to give him as soon as he'd taken his jacket off and sat down.

"Thank you Ying, do I look so tired that you're ready to mother me as well as Wei?" and he laughed but he was worn out tonight.

"How is Wei? Is his walking any better?" Yunlan asked but was still hoping that it was the spirit behind Wei's mobility problems.

"My Lord, may I speak frankly?" Ying said as he thought about how to phrase an apology without making it sound like one.

Yunlan's detective mindset took over. He gave me coffee just as I sat down, guilt, or paving the way for a favour, or admitting to a deed but he was a guard, so it could even be an attitude or a thought, definitely guilty in thought, he's not the kind to go against the ones he considers as his superior.

"Go ahead Ying, I always value your opinion, never feel that you have to hold back your ideas from me, because they could save a life one day."

"Thank you My Lord, but what I wanted to say was, Lord Shen told me your thoughts on the Entity being a separate spirit with a life of its own, and after some careful deliberation, I think you could be right, and if so then He will restore My Lord's mobility when the time is right."
