Sunny's face reddened; yet shook his head.
"Awwwww.. come on!! Your face is all red!"
A small, very rare pout came from Sunny.
"Embarrassment, Kel.."
Sunny's voice was so soft and quiet. It was soothing.
"Right!!! Well.. are you embarrassed 'cause it's true?? Or are you just embarrassed for the sake of being cute?"
Sunny snorted. He was always more expressive around Kel.
"Did- did you just call me.. *cute?*"
Kel flushed a crimson red.
Fanning his hands at his face and shaking his head, Kel chuckled nervously.
"Wwwwwhhhhaaaaatttttt?? Nooooooo!!"
"You did. You literally just did."
"No clue what you're talking about, Sunshine!"
"And you say you're not corny."
Kel huffed.
"Sunshine isn't a corny nickname, Sunny. It's cute!; And fitting!"
Sunny seemed to let out little bursts of laughter whenever Kel slipped and called him cute.
"I'm not even going to bother anymore."
"With what???"
"Nothing, Kel. Don't worry about it."

Kel pulled slightly at the corners of Sunny's lips, forcing a small smile onto the pale boy.

Sunny tried to convince himself that was the case. Surely, he didn't have a crush on this stupid dent head? Well.. a cute dent head. And a caring one.. and not really a dent head in general. Awwhwhwhwh!!! Fuuuuuuuck!!! Sunny scuffed his shoe against the ground, internally scolding himself.
'How did I let myself fall in love with my childhood best friend?!??!?!?! Sure.. he's hot.. and caring.. and basically my knight in (stinky) shining armour. But!!!!! Ughh.. I'm going to have to deal with this, aren't I?'
