My love is not for everyone
Just as white chocolate is not for everyone
But it's not that not everyone likes it
It's that not everyone deserves it
Not everyone is worthy of my love
Of my liking
Of my approval
But unlike others
I'm slow to judge and quick to forgive
Second chance love is my slogan
If you also include third, forth, twelfth, and fiftieth chances
Years of mistakes and wrongdoings
Mixed with disloyalty and falsely placed trust
Will eventually lead to the cold truth
That I need to let go

My love is clingy
Once something is loved, it's roped into a tangled web
Tied up and shackled to my beating heart
Chained to my love like a horse to a post
Mine to use and abuse at any moment
All for my pleasure and mental well-being
If lost then all will crumble and wilt
Like a dying flower in the cold of winter
If given too freely, then I will surely be done for
Death waiting at the barrier of my heart
Waiting for the straw to break the camel's back
Waiting for the wrong thing to be wrapped into my love

My love is not for everyone
My love will be my downfall
But you, my love, are more than deserving
Of my pain, my suffering, my chains and my downfall
You are deserving of my love
