Numbers fall off the face of the clock

Seeming to float to the ground

Landing softly in the tall grass

Their feather-like weightlessness making the ground shake

The oceans ripple in response

And the ground caves, falling out from beneath your feet

Leaving you reaching up, grasping at anything to catch you

But nobody's there

Nothing will hold your weight

It's not that your body is too heavy

Your soul is carrying too much

So much so that you plummet down

Falling to the teeth of abysmallistic creatures

Things that swim amongst the dark

Their teeth flashing in the light from the above world

Circling you like sharks do their prey

A heavy soul will feed them for days

Picking and pulling you apart

Piece by piece

Swing and kick all you want

There's no fighting your fate

Not unless you let go

Release the weight burdened on your chest

Allow the things on your mind to rest

Let your defenses fall

It's the only thing that'll save you at this rate
