JASPER lunges toward Bella! Teeth bared, eyes
beyond reason Edward FLINGS Bella behind his own body, causing her to
CRASH into the table, plates shattering as Jasper SLAMS into Edward; sounds like boulders colliding. Edward pushes him, hard; Jasper SAILS backward, hitting
the wall. But he RICOCHETS off it and comes back at Bella. Emmett and Carlisle TACKLE Jasper from the side, dragging him to the ground -- Alice helps hold him down.
"Jaz shh, its just a little.'' But she stops, her head suddenly jerking toward Bella.
"Blood."
Then everybody's eyes snap toward Bella as they catch the
overwhelming scent Bellas lying amid the shards of broken china. She looks
at her arm, seeing now - it's been slashed by plate shards; bright red blood pulses out of her, pooling. She looks up All of them now, including Edward stare
down at her, at her blood, with fevered eyes. Seven suddenly
ravenous vampires... I run to Emmett forcing his head down so he's looking at me
"Em.. Emmett look at me.'' he looks down is eyes still fevered
"Lucas get Jasper out of here Carlise says.'' he doesn't reply
"Lucas he repeats.''
Lucas reins himself in, elbows Rosalie. They drag the snarling Jasper out. Esme holds her nose, politely exits with the others. Alice looks at Bella, apologetic
"I'm sorry she says.'' exiting
"Emmett you to I say.'' he looks at me sadly I extend my hand
"Come on I say.'' We walk out to the balcony. Alice is trying to make Jasper less upset, I look at Emmett he nods. I walk towards Jasper
"Jasper I say.'' his head snaps up towards me
"Jazz it's me.'' he grabs my hand I let him our emotions intertwine and he relaxes
"You got it from here I ask?'' alice nods i look around for Emmett he is know where to be found
"Hey Bryn help me Rose says.'' i follow her to see Lucas throwing things around the room with his mind
"Lucas I say.'' he runs towards me pushing me against the wall
"You shouldn't be in here," he says.'' I send a wave of emotion he backs away
"I'm sorry.. I'm" he keeps looking at his hands
"Lucas it's okay I say.'' pulling him into a hug he shudders into me as if he was crying
"Shhh I say.'' rubbing his back
"There bond is unlike one I've ever seen Esme says.'' standing in the doorway
"Emmett is looking for you Rose says.'' rubbing my arm
"Hey I say.'' walking out on the balcony Emmett just nods I wrap my arms around his torso as he looks out into the woods
"Ever think it would be better if you just were with Paul.'' i back away in shock
"Why.. why would you ever say that.''
"Just a thought a lot happened tonight he says.''
"With Jazz, it was an accident I say.''
"Does it even matter I was frantic to he says.''
"Your control is better Jasper hasn't been around human blood as long as you I say.''
"Doesn't make a difference it still has effect he says.''
"I know I say.'' he turns around on to me
"You have no idea he says.''
"You don't think I can't feel it I say.''
"It's different he says.''
"You really wanna pick a fight with me today of all days I say.'' crossing my arms in front of my chest
"No he says.'' pulling me into a hug
"I'm sorry.''

We pull in front of my house
"You can't protect me from everything, something's going to separate us accident, illness, old age I say.''
"I know he says.''
"Well you have been quiet the whole way here and I can't read your mind I say.''
"You should go in. It's late Emmett says.''
"Fine I say.'' climbing out of the Jeep he flashes in front of me
"Em I say.'' He looks down at my face and he softens as he takes it in. Putting a hand on my cheek.
"Want me to leave my window open I ask?''
"No I'm not coming back, not tonight he says.''
"Okay I say.''
He lifts my face to his, and kisses me. He begins carefully, gently... but it changes, he becomes urgent, with an almost painful edge, as if it were goodbye.
"Goodnight he says.'' i walk into the house
"Bella you okay I ask?'' knocking on her door
"Just leave me alone she says.''
"Bella I say.'' opening her door
"Get out she says.''
"What is your problem I ask?''
"Your my problem you and you magic little powers you get away with everything she says.''
"Get away with it I say.''
"Yeah and I've been through so much more she states.'' tears fill my eyes
"You've been through more, I lost my mom Bella this is my first birthday without her, yes I have powers but that has nothing to do with getting away with things, ever thought I'm just nicer I say.''
"Nicer she says.'' standing up from her bed
"Your worse you separate my family, and I half to share my birthday with you she says.'' sticking her finger in my chest
"I was born first remember I say.''
'Whatever you don't belong in this house Bella says.''
"Fine I yell!" running to my room and throwing things in a bag footsteps run up the stairs
"What is going on Charlie asks?''
"Im leaving I say.''
"What... no your not, what happened.''
"Ask Bella I don't belong here I say.'' throwing my bag on my shoulder and storming past him
"Bryn wait Charlie yells!''
"Dad, please I'll stay at billy's just..."
"Go he says.'' giving me a hug
