"So I'm basically god I say.'' Sam chuckles at me
"Basically he says.'' Paul finally walks into the room and directly towards me Sam stop him with a hand on his shoulder
"You calm he asks?''
"He's calm I say.'' Sam nods to me and leave the room Paul sits down
"I want to know why you have been around them Paul asks?''
'Look Paul.."
"No he says.'' smacking his hand on the table
"To the point he says.'' taking a deep breath
"I'm sort of I don't know with one of them I say."
"Are you fucking kidding me he says.'' pushing the books off the table and into the wall
"Paul Sam yells.'' now standing in the doorway
"Which one Paul asks?'' I shake my head no
"Which fucking one he asks?'' I look at Sam he shakes his head yes
"Just tell him Sam says.''
"Emmett I say.'' with that paul starts to shake and runs down the hallway and out the door and phases in the front yard
"He won't hurt him," I say.'' Sam looks unsure at me
"I can feel it he couldn't do that to me.'' paul sends a howl that sends a shiver down my spine before taking off

I walk into my room to see Emmett laying on my bed reading one of my books
"Jesus christ I say.'' dropping my phone he flashes towards me catching my phone
"You told him Emmett asks?''
"How did you I ask?'' he nods towards the phone multiply texts messages from paul
"He asked I had to tell him I say.'' hmm he says pulling me on top of him my legs straddling him, he tucks a piece of hair behind my ear.
"How did you get in here I say.'' he nods towards the window
"The window. As always he says.''
"Don't you have anything better to do I ask?''
"What else is there to do at night he asks?'' i push him backwards onto the bed and we wrestle a bit he pins me down to the bed
"You're a peeping Tom! Perv!''
"Shh! The Chief will hear you!'' he tickles me
But the electricity of our physical contact quickly overwhelms us, our laughter quieting. He studies my face.
He raises his fingers to my lips, sending a thrill up my spine.
"There's something I'd like to try he says."
I nod, bedazzled by him. He takes my face in his hands,hesitates to test himself, then he softly kisses me. What neither of us is prepared for is my response. My breath comes in a wild GASP. My fingers knot in his hair,clutching him to her. Lips part as I breathe his scent. Suddenly I feel as if something is lifted away from my body. He stiffens and pulls away from me quickly, his jaw clenched.
"I didn't mean to do that I say.''
"I just need a second he says.''
"No I can get it back just.." i take a deep breath push my hands inwards towards me and feel it renter my body he relax's
"Your stronger than I though he says.''
"I could say the same for you Emmett says.''

We enter to find Charlie cleaning a rifle. He starts to say hello but Bella just blurts out
"I have a date with Edward Cullen.'' He suddenly looks like he's having an aneurysm.
" He's too old for you Charlie says.''
"I have a date with Emmett, We're all juniors. I thought you liked the Cullens.''
"And I thought you two weren't interested in any of the boys in town he says.''
"They don't exactly live in town Bella says.''
"And they are right outside I say.''
"Now? Both of them are out there?''
"They wanted to meet you officially Bella says.''
"Good send them in he says.'' He cocks the rifle in mock-seriousness.
"Dad be nice there important, okay."
Charlie gives me a reassuring nod... then I open the door to reveal Edward and Emmett in a parka and gloves.
"Nice hat I say.'' Emmett grins at me nodding his head
"Chief Swan. I wanted to formally introduce myself. I'm Edward.''
"And I'm Emmett.'' Edward extends his hand. Charlie takes it, but grunts a hello, resisting him.
"We won't keep the girls out late tonight. We're just going to go
play baseball with my family.''
"Bryn and Bella play baseball charlie says.'' chuckling
"Yes, sir, that's the plan Emmett says.''
"Well. More power to you, I guess Charlie states.''
"They will be safe with us, sir, I promise Edward says." the boys exits charlie grabs our arms
"You got that pepper spray?''
"Dad bella says.'' i take mine out of my pocket he smiles kissing my forehead
Storm clouds gather in the sky as we pull up in the Jeep. I see a rough baseball diamond, set into an
enormous field in the lap of the Olympic peaks.
"And since when do vampires like baseball I ask?''
''It's the American pastime. Plus,there's a thunderstorm coming. It's the
only time we can play. You'll see why Emmett says.''
Esme and Lucas come to greet us.
"Good thing you're here. We need a umpire Esme says.''
"She thinks we cheat Lucas says.'' giving me a big hug picking me up and spinning me around
"I know you cheat call em as you see them Esme says.''
"It's time Alice says.''
Just as a deep rumble of thunder shakes the forest.
