At the stroke of 9:30 pm, Nil stirred from his slumber, only to find Kao enveloped in a sonorous symphony of snores. As he peeled himself from the sheets, his gaze fell upon his mobile phone, where a barrage of missed calls from Sonali awaited his attention. Panic knotted his stomach as he realized the gravity of the situation.

With trembling hands, Nil dialed Sonali's number, each failed attempt amplifying his anxiety. After what felt like an eternity, she finally answered, her voice choked with tears. "Nil, where are you?"

"Dhaka," he replied, his voice strained with concern. "What's happened? Is everything alright?"

But before he could process her response, Sonali's words pierced through the air like shards of glass. "Mother suffered a heart attack. We rushed her to Faridpur Heart Foundation..."

His phone slipped from his grasp, the weight of guilt settling heavily upon him. "This is all my fault," he whispered, his heart pounding in his chest.

Startled awake, Kao bolted upright. "Nil, what's wrong?"

"Stranger, mother. She's had a heart attack. It's serious," Nil uttered, urgency lacing his words. "We need to go..."

A surge of anxiety rippled through Kao as he processed the news. ''My God!" he murmured, his hand instinctively reaching for his head.

As Nil made a move to rush out of the room, bathrobe flapping behind him, Kao intervened, grasping his arm firmly. "Nil, calm down," he implored, his voice steady despite the chaos that threatened to engulf them. "First, change your clothes."

As Shian approached, Kao made a peculiar request: a large hat, a mask, and a voluminous coat. With a hint of intrigue, Shian complied, procuring the items swiftly. Once dressed, Kao and Nil emerged from the room, stepping into a scene that perplexed Nil beyond measure.

"Why are there so many guards? And why are we dressed in such cumbersome attire?" Nil inquired, bewildered by the unexpected display of security.

Kao, with an air of urgency, offered little explanation, promising clarity at a later time. Nil, though puzzled, chose not to press further, trusting in Kao's assurance.

As they stepped into the public eye, their surroundings revealed the reason behind the elaborate charade. A banner adorned with their likenesses and names greeted them, casting light on Kao's cryptic actions. At that moment, Nil's reaction was visceral, a deep sigh escaping as realization dawned.

"Oh, god," Nil murmured, a mix of apprehension and resignation coloring the words.

As they slipped into the plush leather seats of the Audi, a hushed recognition rippled through the crowd. Whispers turned into excited exclamations as fans realized the occupants of the car were none other than Kao Neptune and Nil. Cheers erupted, drowning out the hum of the engine as the car eased into motion, leaving a trail of eager admirers in its wake.

Amidst the clamor, a voice broke through, tinged with a mix of surprise and humility. "I never imagined I had such devoted fans here," Kao remarked, his tone filled with genuine astonishment.

With a tenderness that belied his earlier astonishment, Kao pulled Nil into a comforting embrace, cutting through the self-blame with a firm reassurance. "Don't burden yourself with guilt. None of this is your fault. And as for your mother, I'll spare no expense to ensure she receives the best care."

On the threshold of Lata's hospital room, a procession of white coats swept in, led by Sonali, followed closely by Shankar, Elder Kokhon, and Nil's three aunts. Their presence sent a shiver through the room, a silent testament to the gravity of the situation. Shankar, his brow furrowed with concern, turned to a senior nurse and voiced the question that hung heavy in the air.
