At 10:00 PM, Kao found himself in his office, punching in Nil's number. After several rings, Nil finally answered.
"Where are you now? Are you still at home?" Kao inquired.
"Yes, actually, there are still some legal formalities to take care of, so Than and I are on our way to the studio," Nil replied.
"Again with Than? You really should consider getting your own car," Kao suggested.
"You know I'm not financially stable right now, but after my new project, I promise I will," Nil explained.
"Alright, fine. Just give me five minutes," Kao said.
"Are you coming here in five minutes? You know your office is a good 20 minutes away from my flat," Nil pointed out.
"Just wait," Kao insisted.
Suddenly, Nil heard a car horn and stepped out onto his balcony. There, he spotted a vibrant red car and someone gesturing for him to come downstairs.
"It's your car now, you don't have to wait for the next project or the one after that," Kao reminded her.
"But it's so expensive," Nil hesitated.
"You have to accept it. You've claimed me as yours, so everything I have is yours too. If you refuse, it makes me doubt whether you truly consider me yours," Kao reasoned.
"Enough with the emotional speeches. Fine, I accept it," Nil relented.
"That's my baby," Kao said with a smile.
"Don't call me 'Baby' or anything like that," Nil retorted.
A wistful smile played upon Stranger's lips as the call concluded, leaving an electric buzz of anticipation hanging in the air until Nil emerged from the apartment. Than, drawn by the unexpected scene, approached with a curious tilt of his head. "Nil, what's all this? Who's the generous sender?"
Nil, with a flicker of hesitation, disclosed the sender's identity. "Stann... and P.Kao."
Than, his voice touched with a note of reverence, remarked, "You're fortunate indeed. That's the latest, highly coveted model. P.Kao must hold you in quite high esteem."
Nil, deftly diverting the conversation, replied, "Perhaps. But we shouldn't dally any longer."
Agreeing with a nod, they made their way to the studio, navigating through the labyrinth of legal formalities. As they concluded their business, Nil shared his intentions for the evening with Than. "I'll be hosting a dinner gathering tonight. I'm going to invite Mary and Techno..."
Than, with a hint of caution in his tone, advised, "Very well, but tread carefully."
Nil stepped into the cafe, reminiscing about the early days. Techno and Mary greeted him warmly, reliving cherished moments. He extended personal invitations to Uncle Tham, Techno, and Mary. Lava, informed by Shian, learned of the dinner and insisted on joining. Kao. But he politly refused.
In the evening, Kao arrived early at Nil's place to lend a helping hand. Amidst preparations, he attempted to infuse romance, caressing Nil's hands and whispering sweet sentiments.
Kao, with a soft tone, "We've shared countless nights, yet your touch still feels warm and new. What magic have you cast on me?"
Nil, deflecting with humor, "Your sweet talk won't fill our guests' stomachs."
A gentle push interrupted the moment.
Kao, "Nil, you killed my romance today."
As Than arrived, Kao privately mused, "I can't endure him around..."
Nil, curious, "Did you say something?"
Kao, denying, "Nope."
Guests arrived one by one—Director Kim, the cast, Than, Uncle Tham, Techno, Mary—filling the space with familiar faces. Meanwhile, Shian and Lava made their entrance.
Upon laying eyes on her, Kao's countenance darkened, a subtle storm brewing beneath the surface.
Fury painted Nil's features, his face flushed with the intensity of his emotions. Guiding Kao away from prying eyes, Nil demanded, "Why did you invite her?"
Kao countered, "I invited Shian, not Lava. I had no idea she would show up."
Silence lingered as Nil processed the revelation. Kao broke the quiet, "I know you harbor animosity toward her, but she acknowledged her mistake. We're childhood friends; she admitted to having feelings for me and lost control in the moment."
A tense "..." was all Nil could manage.
Seeking to soothe the brewing storm within Nil, Kao ventured, "Nil, it's merely insecurity or jealousy. I've felt the same when I've seen Than."
Nil's anger flared, "How could you? Than never proposed to me in front of you. Yet, she proposed to my boyfriend before my eyes, and you're comparing her to Than. Unbelievable, Stranger."
Kao, attempting to mend the fraying ties, gently encircled Nil's face. "Nilll, okay, fine. I'll go and ask her to leave, alright? You're the most important person to me."
As Kao moved towards Lava, Nil clung tightly to him. "No, she's your guest. I'm sorry if I said anything wrong."
Kao , tenderly kissing Nil's head, inquired, "Are you sure?"
A smile played on Nil's lips as he met Kao's gaze.
Lava, sensing the tension, broke into a sly smile and remarked, "I sense P.Nil isn't thrilled by my presence."
Nil, muttering to himself, admitted, "Yeah, I don't like that fairy little... individual."
Kao, detecting the undertone, inquired, "Did you say something?"
Nil, feigning innocence, responded, "Nope."
With a gracious smile, Nil extended a welcome to both Shian and Lava. The latter, however, seemed poised to seize any opportunity to diminish Nil. Amidst the revelry, laughter, and dancing, the atmosphere buzzed with entertainment. As dinner was announced, everyone gathered around the dining table adorned with a plethora of mouth-watering Thai delicacies.
Nil excused himself and made his way to the kitchen. Than, sensing an opportunity to assist, decided to join him.
Kao, observing their departure, felt a twinge of jealousy. Lava, perceptive to Kao's emotions, sensed his discomfort with the bond between Nil and Than. Subtly, she made her way to the kitchen, intent on unraveling the dynamics between the trio.
