SORRY I NEVER DONE A TW IN THE LAST CHAPTER!!

TW: SH, anxious habits (finger picking, biting, bobbing knee, etc.)

Charlie's POV:

I get home before Nick? That's weird.

"Oscar! Lily! I'm home!" I put the keys down and take off my jacket and shoes.

No reply.

"Shh!" A faint whisper is heard.

I look toward the kitchen and my 10 year old is leaning against the doorframe with a glass of, what seems to be, diet lemonade.

She reminds me of Tori.

"Where your brother?" I ask, opening my arms for a hug.
"Asleep."

I pull back.

"Asleep? It's half 4."
"He was arguing with Will."
"Oh."

Lily cuddles up to me.

"You ok, princess?" I ask.
"Mhm. Just need cuddles."

A feeling in my gut tells me that's not the reason, but I push it back.

"Have you had lunch? What did you 3 do while I was away?" I walk into the kitchen, followed by Lily.
"Yeah! Oscar made us all lunch and then we went to the park. That's when Oscar and Will argued."

I frown.

"They're ok, though! They're both cuddled up on Oscar's bed."

My smile comes back.

"Ellie came to the park with us! Well, we met her there." Lily smiles up at me.
"That's nice!"

I start to make myself a tea, waiting for Nick.

When Nick gets home at quarter to, I quickly turn the TV onto the radio channel and we wait.

"You excited?" Nick ask, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
"Yeah! I'm still quite shocked." I admit.
"That's normal! I can't wait."

Just as he says that, Oscar and Will slouch down beside us on the couch, Oscar sitting on Will's lap as he plays with his hair.

"What's up with him?" Nick whispers to me.
"They argued."
"Are they better now?"
"According to Lily, yes."
"Good."

The radio people announce the next song and I swear my heart stops as I hear them read out the name of my song.

Everyone starts cheering.

I've never felt this happy towards something to do with work.

The song start playing and I swear I almost died as Lily started to hum along to the opening tune.

After the song ended, everyone was in tears.

"I'm guessing you liked it?" I ask Lily between sniffles.
"Y-YEAH!!" She joys, sniffling.

Everyone else praises me and just as they announce the next song, I start to sob.

"A song by Charles Spring. Dedicated to his oldest kid, Oscar Luke Nelson." The announcer calls out.

I look over at Oscar, shocked myself, and notice he's fully crying.

They song start to play and I feel so happy, happy knowing i can make songs for the people I love and appreciate.

"Thanks..." Oscar mumbles, crying still.
"It's ok! It was a total shick to hear that song play!"
"What'd you mean?"
"It was only Lily's song that had got sent-"
