Nick's POV:

I'm a terrible person.
A terrible dad.
A terrible fiancé.
A terrible son.

"Nicholas, you awake?" David asks through the door.

I groan, making David come in.

"I talked to Charlie last night."

Something in me makes me sit up and panic.

"Nick, calm down. He's ok."
"What about Lily and Oscar!?"
"Oscar's fine, but..."
"But what!? What happened!?"

He stays silent.

Tears start to flow from my eyes.

"David...please." I beg.
"She had an anxiety attack last night."

No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No.

"I'm so stupid!" I cry.

I start to hit myself repeatedly until David grabs my hand.

"Nick, she's ok. She just overthough the situation."

She's like me...

I just start to break down in tears.

"Nick..." David sighs.

He pulls me into a hug, letting me cry.

"You going home?" Mum asks.
"Y-Yeah..."
"Good."

David walks in.

"I'll drive you." He says, grabbing his keys.
"Thanks."

I say goodbye to Mum, Nellie, and Henry before walking out to David's car.

"You ok?" David asks as we pull up to my house.
"I think so."
"Come on then."

We climb out the car and head to the front door.

"Go on."

I open the door and step in, followed by David.

"Hello?" Charlie calls out.

I don't say a word.

"Lily, go see who that is." He says.
"Ok, Pap!"

Liy runs into the hall before staying silent.

"Hey..." I'm trying not to cry.

She throws her hands over her mouth, tears flooding her eyes.

"Dad!!" She cries, running towards me.

I crouch down to her height, embracing her in a hug.

"Lily, what are you-" Oscar walks in.

He stares at me with wide eyes.

"Dad!" He runs towards me.

I stand up to give him a hug.

"Lily, who's at the-"

Charlie...

"Nick..." He sobs.
"Hey, Char..."

He runs towards me, hugging me tight.

"It was stupid to leave." I mumble.
"It was." He giggles.

We stay like this for a while. All 4 of us cuddled up in a hug together.

It feels like home.
