Okay so it's been a few days since I've written anything. Things have been hectic to say the least. Ever since we came back Derek has been arrested, Laura's dead, and we have zero leads as to who the new alpha is. Oh wait, let me backtrack. Laura is dead. The autopsy dude said she had been dead at least 3 days before we buried her. 3 days. You have no idea how much I wish she was here right now, we should have come with her when she wanted to investigate. Maybe she'd still be alive. But that's not the only thing that happened, to recap, the alpha also turned a new beta. Scott McCall, we used to have class together when we were kids. He and Stiles have been driving me insane, so far whenever we're on an impose something happens to tear that up. All I want to do is find the alpha who killed Laura and go home."What?" Derek asked as Isabelle stared at him. "Nothing." She dismisses it as she goes back to writing in her journal. Her dad used to write in one all the time, he gave her her first journal when she was little. She didn't use to write in them, but when the fire happened and they all died, and when it was clear that her therapist wasn't going to get anything out of her, she suggested writing her feelings down in a journal.
It worked, although she would never tell her therapist that. She liked writing in the journal because it made her feel closer to her dad.
Isabelle peered her head back up at him. "What?" He asked again, this time looking up from his newspaper. "It's just-" Isabelle shut closed the journal and folded her hands on the rusty old table.
"Scott needs your help."
Derek almost laughed. "I thought you had everything under control."
"I do! It's just-" Isabelle paused. I knew he would get me on that. "Scott had this terrible dream of killing Allison. And this morning at school there was a guy attacked by what the cops say was a mountain lion."
Derek looked up from the newspaper. "He thinks it was him?"
"Yup."
"Why can't you just figure out if it's him?" Isabelle chuckled awkwardly. She knew he was going to ask her that. "Because-" She opened my book back up again and looked down to avoid his gaze.
"I flunked werewolf school."
Aunt Talia, Derek's mother, was the one who taught them about their abilities, history, etc. After she died the only thing Isabelle continued to learn was what could weaken them and how to fight.
Derek put down the newspaper and approached one of the broken windows. "What is it?" Isabelle peered out of the same one and saw a cop looking nervously around. He was probably there to make sure the house was empty. After the arrest yesterday, their property became their property. Derek and Isabelle weren't even supposed to be there.
Inside the squad car was a German Shepherd who was whining like crazy. Derek continued to stare at the K9 making it start to bark like crazy.
God, and this is why I asked to get an apartment.
When the barking finally stopped, and the cop went away, Isabelle sensed Scott on the grounds.
"I know you can hear me. I need your help."
Derek slipped on his jacket as we headed down to see Scott. "Hey Scott." Isabelle greeted as she closed the door. "Hey Isabelle." He looked at Derek and sighed.
"Okay, I know I was part of you getting arrested...and that we basically announced you being here to the Hunters."
Isabelle nodded at that. "I also don't know what happened to your sister...but, I think I did something last night. I had a dream about... someone... but someone else got hurt. And it turns out that part of the dream might have actually happened."
