"You know, when most people ask how your day was they don't plot to turn someone into a werewolf after."

Isabelle crossed her arms at her brother, glaring at him as Erica stood behind him. Derek had forgotten to inform her that he had turned Erica, he'd given her the bite without even telling her.

He was lucky she had survived, or else she would be giving him a new one. Derek sighed, tired of his sister's complaining. "I knew you wouldn't agree."

"Of course I wouldn't have agreed." Isabelle snapped. "You can't just be turning every teenager in a 5 mile radius that has some type of issue. Otherwise we'll be running a psychiatric hospital."

Erica squirmed behind Derek, clearly she was uncomfortable by the whole thing. Isabelle had to admit that being a werewolf seemed to agree with her. She looked better than ever. But that was the problem.

"We're not supposed to be taking risks." Isabelle chides. "She's epileptic. What do you think her parents are gonna say when they notice she hasn't had a seizure? Or her doctors? What if they start poking and prodding and find out what she is?"

"I can fake a few seizures." Erica jumped to her own defense. "I can pretend to take my medicines, I will keep this a secret."

Derek motions to Erica. "See? All handled."

Isabelle scowled. "We had a deal Derek. You would tell me who you decide to turn!"

"I told you about Isaac."

"You didn't tell me about her!" Isabelle points an accusatory finger in Erica's direction. "You know, I get you're the alpha and everything but we had a deal. This isn't just about you, it's about us!"

"I am doing this for us!" Derek shouts, equally angry.

Isabelle lets out a frustrated scream muffled by her hands. "You can't just do things like this without me knowing! Last time that happened, Peter almost killed you!"

Isabelle remembered the panic that surged through her. She didn't know whether he was alive or not. The fear she was alone.

"That's exactly why I'm doing this," Derek grabbed Isabelle, putting both hands firmly on her shoulders. Isabelle pursed her lips and avoided eye contact, the last thing she wanted was for him to wear her down.

"The sooner we build our numbers the less we have to worry about everything." Derek told her, "Hey look at me."

Isabelle sighed and looked at him.

"Let me deal with the betas."

"Fine," she snapped. "But you owe me."

Isabelle sighed and hung her head. She didn't have a choice in the matter. All she could do was prepare Erica for the full moon, she was their responsibility now. "Tell your parents you're staying at a friend's house."

"For how long?"

"Just the weekend. We can't send you home without knowing you won't kill your parents in their sleep."

Erica made a face, looking around the railway depot in disgust. "And stay here?"

"We have an apartment, you'll stay there with me. But first we gotta get you a wardrobe." Isabelle turned to Derek and held out her open palm. "Keys and cards please."

Derek sighed, digging out the credit car and keys before placing them in her hands. "Don't go over the limit."

"What am I? An animal?"

Isabelle grabbed Erica by the wrist and led her back up the stairs and both were in the car driving towards the mall. It was weird eerie silence for the most part. Isabelle made sure that they weren't being followed by any hunters before she lowered her defense somewhat to take Erica shopping.

"I don't know about this," Erica stood in front of the mirror, she wore a black tank top that accentuated her curves. But standing in front of the mirror wearing it made her awkward about her body. She had never shown so much skin before.

"Come on Erica!" Isabelle shouts from the clothing racks nearby where she had collected a few clothes already. Somewhere for Isaac, Derek, somewhere for herself and the others were for Erica.

"You're one of us now." Even if she still would have liked knowing before hand. "Embrace yourself."

"That's easy for you to say," Erica slipped her sweater back on and stepped out. She looked at Isabelle, who at the moment was wearing blue jeans, a black tee and her Triskelion necklace. Her hair was curled at the ends and she wore simple makeup.

"You look good in everything."

Isabelle laughed, "You flatter me." She grabbed the clothes she had gotten for Erica and put them in her arms. "Erica look, I know this is new to you. I know that confidence is there, you just have to find it."

Erica took a deep breath and nodded, she squared her shoulders and gripped the clothes in her hands. This was supposed to be a start to a new life.

Isabelle smiled as she watched Erica get back in the changing room and patted herself on the back. She herself proceeded to the checkout aisle, she remembered to get enough clothes for Isaac and some food as well. Isaac had been living in the apartment ever since he became a fugitive.

Shane had promised to clear his name, but it was hard to do when he had escaped a holding cell. And most of the evidence pointed to him. Till that matter is cleared, he had to stay in hiding. He was getting cranky.

"Isaac!" Isabelle called as she and Erica entered the apartment. Isaac bounced out from the hallway, wearing a wife-beater and shorts. The wife-beater in particular outlined his muscles, which had seemed to be better formed now that he was a werewolf.

Isabelle averted her eyes and looked at Erica. She had seemed to find a style that suited her. She wore colors that compliment both her eyes and hair color. Isabelle had given her a few makeup brands to try out as well.

"Isaac?" Erica questioned when she saw the boy. "You're one of them?"

"Recently turned," Isaac said in a slight daze as he stared at her, something she was going to have to start getting used to. But she did happen to like the attention.

"Yes well," Isabelle quipped with an edge in her tone. "Now that we're all acquainted. Erica is going to be staying here over the weekend so she gets accustomed to the transition."

"Where will I sleep?" Erica asked as she looked around the apartment. It wasn't well furnished, or well decorated for that matter. Isabelle didn't spend many nights there, and Derek didn't care much for other stuff.

"Isaac's sleeping in Derek's room," Isabelle told her. "He doesn't use it much. I don't use mine much either so you can use it." She didn't know why she called it hers. She only slept in it a few nights, she only left a few clothes in the dresser, and it was hardly decorated. The apartment was more of a hideout.

"There should be food in the kitchen but I'll stock up later, and you can have the beer. You can't get drunk."

At that Erica pouts. "I should have drunk before I turned."

Isabelle laughed. Isaac walked up and plopped himself on the couch. "That friend of yours, is he almost done clearing my name?"

"No he isn't," Isabelle hit him in the head. "So don't even think about going out. You're still a fugitive."

"Did you really do it?" Erica asked curiously, while also trying to remain empathetic. "Kill your dad?"

"No," Isaac hissed. Erica retreated.

"I didn't."

Isabelle rolled his eyes at his behavior. She was starting to notice he was behaving like a douchebag. She remembered to blame it on the full moon.

"You both have to behave," Isabelle ordered sternly. "I am not some pack mother to be kissing your booboos or making you play nice."

"You can kiss my booboos." Isaac grins, batting his eyes at Isabelle. She unfortunately felt a flutter in her stomach, it's not a feeling she's ever not had before. She had a crush on that one kid in fourth grade, what was his name? Theodore? Theon? Theo! That was it. He was cute, he was friends with her till his parents moved them away. She really had almost forgotten about him. And sure, Isabelle had "dated" people before. But she never got close enough to form a connection. She wasn't going to start now.
