Scott walked ahead of Derek as they made their way through the preserve, desperate to leave before the hunters came back.
"Hey, hold on, hold on, hold on." Derek heaved out as he stopped walking to look around. "Something doesn't feel right."
"What do you mean?" Scott asked with a frown. Derek sighed looking around. "I don't know, it's- it's kind of like it's--"
Scott quickly cut them off. "No, don't say "too easy." People say 'too easy' and bad things happen. What, do you think finding you was easy? Getting away from Allison's dad? None of this has been easy!"
Dad sighed, rolling his eyes a little. "Fine. You're right."
Scott sighed pleased. "Thank you."
"What the hell are you doing?!" shouted a female voice. The two of them looked to find Isabelle, still wearing her formal dress, running up to them.
"Izzo," Derek hung his head with relief as she reached them. Isabelle jumps to meet Derek's height, throwing her arms around his torso.
"Oh you're okay," she cried, burying her head in his chest. Derek hugged her back just as tight, if not tighter, resting his chin on top of her head.
"We have to go," She said as she pulled away from him. "Peter's coming. He let me go because things were going to plan. Whatever that meant."
"Come on let's keep going," The three of them all turned to leave, hurrying to leave when suddenly an arrow was flying through the air and hitting Derek in the leg. Isabelle screamed as he fell.
"Derek!!"
Isabelle was immediately by his side.
"Where the hell did that come from?" Scott wondered out loud. He looked around, supernatural eyes working and he spotted two figures in the distance. Allison holds the bow, her aunt next to her guiding her. Scott froze, staring at them in shock.
"Now the leg." Kate directed and Allison obeyed. Shooting another arrow. This one hit Derek in his leg, Isabelle barely manages to hold him up.
"Flash-bolt."
"Scott, your eyes!" Isabelle exclaimed as they dropped to avoid getting hit. Scott didn't listen and was blinded when the arrow hit, sparking white light. Isabelle crawled towards her brother, ripping the arrow from his chest without warning. Derek howled in pain.
"Get up!" She ordered Scott, grabbing his arm and helping him up while she tried not to trip over her own dress. "Let's go!" Derek ushered as they all began running. But another arrow was released, hitting Derek in the leg.
"Go!"
The two teenagers did what he said and began to resume running but they were stopped by the arrow that landed in front of them. A warning shot. They stop in their tracks.
Scott and Isabelle tense as Allison and her aunt approached them. Isabelle knew that they didn't have a chance to run away anymore. And as Allison walked up to them, confidence coursing through her did he realize that she knew more than she had ever let on. Isabelle came to the same conclusion.
"Allison, I can explain." Scott pleads as she stops in front of them. "Stop lying. For once, stop lying." She ordered. "I was gonna tell you the truth at the formal. I was gonna tell you everything... because everything that I said, everything that I did--"
Allison interrupted him, sounding bored. "Was to protect me." Scott nodded. "Yes."
Allison shook her head. "I don't believe you." She turned to Isabelle and raised an eyebrow. "You knew what my family was?"
