"ISABELLE!"
"Stop goddamn screaming! You're gonna bring it to her!"
Isabelle's head throbbed with pain as her eyes fluttered open and adjusted to the light. She groaned softly, pushing herself up on her elbows and scanning her surroundings. She was on the ground of the pool arena, only a few feet from the pool and off in the distance Derek and Stiles were swimming in the pool on the other side.
Why were they in the pool?
"Isabelle!" Stiles shouted when he saw her, and then she heard a sound that sounded a lot like a reptilian. It all came back to her when she saw the snake looking creature on the opposite wall, it's yellow eyes and scale skin.
"RUN!"
Run where? Was her first thought but the thing was already clawing to her, she would never out run it. So she rolled over on her back as fast as she could and hit the pool before the thing could reach her. The water was cold when she hit it, her skin erupted in goosebumps as she swam back up to the surface. Now she was drenched and cold, her clothes sticking to her like glue.
She looked over to the other pool, where Stiles swam with Derek and from the looks of it, holding him up. "How long have you guys been in there?!" She called out.
"Like 2 hours." Stiles complained. "Derek won't stop bitching and Scott never answered the damn phone."
"Where is he?"
Stiles shrugged. "Don't look at me. I've been stuck here for the past 2 hours because you!"
"I admit, things didn't go the way I'd hoped." Isabelle muttered, but then she thought back to how Scott and Stiles didn't talk to her about the creature, she had to figure that out from Shane. It hurt if she was being honest. After everything they went through, everything they said they knew about her. How can someone know every trauma someone endured and just leave them? And that made her angry.
"But none of this would have happened if you and Scott hadn't ghosted me!"
"We are not-"
"Yes you are!" She shouted, she splashed around in the water, wishing he was close so she could punch him or splash water at him.
"I had to find out from Hannah that you guys confronted that creature. Hannah! And all for what? Because Derek turned Erica and Isaac?"
That was the entire reason they stopped talking to her. She wasn't Derek's keeper, she couldn't control every move he thought he had. It wasn't her fault he chose them. And it definitely wasn't her fault that they accepted.
"Scott is bitching about being responsible for them and Boyd, but I don't see him spending hours training them. Or making sure they don't kill anyone! But I am! I spent hours with those three making sure they learn how to hone their senses so they don't get killed. Meanwhile all Scott is doing is going out with Allison and you're helping them. I can't turn the clock back and un-bite them. So stop blaming me for this shit show!"
Isabelle was red by the time she was done. She'd yelled so loud that her throat was raw. She hadn't yelled like that in years. It was like all the anger had just been building.
"Can you both be quiet for one minute!" Derek shouted at them both before Stiles could say something on his behalf. Not that she would have listened anyway. Isabelle kicked her feet to stay above water and turned away from the two. Well, from Stiles.
"Where did it go?" Derek questioned, craning his neck as much as he could to look around.
"Do you see it?"
