Season 2 - Episode 6
"Holy shit." Isabelle's mind was blown. Partly because she had seen the kanima venom do nothing to him. And at the same time she knew he was a snake. She was just relieved that it wasn't Lydia. She knew it never was, but she was glad that Derek was around to witness it or else he wouldn't have believed her.
Derek. Isabelle whirled back around, Derek was no longer standing where they had left him. Boyd and the others gone. He was going after him. She should probably go after him. Derek was sprinting down the street after Jackson.
"Go!" Isabelle yelled at the boys. She couldn't go after him herself. There was way too much to explain to Lydia and she couldn't just leave her.
Scott and Stiles ran to the jeep, quickly climbing inside and taking off after him. Isabelle bit her nails as she watched them drive off. Derek wouldn't hurt them. He could care less about them. He was going after Jackson with the intent to kill. He didn't know who it was, he didn't see Jackson leave with them. Did he? Lydia hurried down the stairs and stood next to her, watching them leave.
"What the hell is going on Isa?" She asked. "And where the hell is Jackson?"
"He left." Allison jumped the gun, hurrying over to them. Lydia frowned, looking between the two. She knew something was going on but she was blind to it. Isabelle sighed, rubbing her face annoyed. Dammit. None of this should be happening. At all.
"So there's a bit of a mess downstairs." Isabelle muttered as the three started for the house. "We should probably clean up and then leave."
Isabelle cleaned up the shards of the vase that she had broken over Isaac's head and the others picked the stuff that had been dropped when the two had been shoving each other against the wall. Thankfully, Derek had left the car and the keys. They all piled inside to drop Allison off at home.
Isabelle parked the car down a block from Allison's house. She was fucking terrified of seeing an Argent. And getting caught with an Argent could probably end with her getting killed. Allison unbuckled her seatbelt and leaned forward through the seats.
"I need you to promise that you won't say anything about what just happened." Allison told Lydia cautiously.
"I'll promise not to say anything about what just happened if you can tell me what the hell just happened..."
Isabelle sighed hesitantly. "It's-it's kind of complicated."
"Well, how about you start with why was Derek there?" Lydia said irritated. "Or where Jackson was? Or what is wrong with Erica?"
Isabelle and Allison were silent.
"Oh, do you need a minute to come up with a plausible lie?" Lydia sassed.
"Part of the reason why I'm asking is because Scott and I aren't supposed to be seeing each other, okay?" Allison tried to get her to understand. "So, it's better if you just keep what you know to yourself."
"Fine." Lydia crossed her arms and leaned back against her seat. "I'll keep what I know about you and your boyfriend-- which is nothing-- to myself."
"Hey... He's not just my boyfriend." Allison said, which honestly confused Isabelle and Lydia. "You get that, right? Just, for one second, please, try and remember–"
"Remember what?" Lydia said impatiently. "Remember what it feels like. All those times in school when you see him standing down the hall, and you cannot breathe until you're with him. Or those times in class when you-you can't stop looking at the clock, because you know that he's standing right out there waiting for you."
