I find Levi sitting at the lunch table already. I sit down next to him to find bruises covering the side of his face, "Levi? What happened?"
"Nothing. I'm fine," his jaw twitches and he doesn't make eye contact. This tells me immediately that he's lying.
"It's not fine. Tell me what happened," I demand.
"Blake just beat me up yesterday, but I swear I'm fine. I can handle my own brother," he finally makes eye contact, but he gazes behind me as I hear someone sit next to me. I turn to find Isaiah there.
"You okay, Bianchi?" Isaiah holds his glare.
"I'm fine, you don't look great yourself. A little heartbroken?" Levi teases.
"Levi," I say surprised, but he looks away.
I see Ember enter the cafeteria looking around. I get her attention and wave her over to sit with us. She approaches with a smile and sits next to Isaiah.
"Levi, Isaiah, this is Ember. She's new," I smile.
"Hi," she says quietly.
"Ember. A beautiful name, and what's your last?" Isaiah asks.
"Don't tell him that or he'll call you that for the rest of your time here," I laugh and she smiles again.
"And I'm Levi, Eleanor's boyfriend," Levi shakes her hand across the table.
"It's nice to meet you all," she looks around, "does anyone else sit here?"
"Sometimes Isaiah's other friends will join us, but not often," I pull back my dark brown hair so it doesn't fall in front of my face, and she nods.
While the boys go get their lunch since they didn't bring anything, Ember and I talk for a bit and then she asks, "Does Isaiah have a girlfriend?"
"Ember Edgeworth, do you like Isaiah Myhre?" I gasp sarcastically.
"I mean, he seems nice and he is cute," she shrugs with a laugh.
"He doesn't have a girlfriend," I smile, "and you should totally try to date him. Just ask him for notes in a class you share and he'll most likely invite you over."
"Really?" She asks.
"Yeah, I can see you two together," I smile, but part of me deep down feels a pang of jealousy. I used to like Isaiah, I think to myself, and now my new friend likes him, but I'm with Levi now, and nothing can change that.

I walk up to Isaiah's locker after lunch with a grin.
"Hale," he acknowledges.
"Shall we do this again? Halewood. But what I wanted to ask you, Isaiah. What do you think of Ember?" I ask.
"And may I remind you? Halewood is too long. And Ember... she's nice, a bit shy. Beautiful blue eyes and striking red hair, why?" He tilts his head.
"Because, I think you two should get together," I say with a sly smile.
"Eleanor you know-"
"None of that crap Isaiah," I cut him off, "just do something for me this one time."
"Alright, Hale. I wouldn't mind having Ember around anyways. She's a good girl that I plan to make a little bit bad," I roll my eyes after he finishes his statement.
"Just don't hurt her because she's my friend," I inform him.
"I wouldn't dream of it Hale."
