"You're kidding," I laugh slightly, "this is all some sick joke."

"Ellie," Uncle John gives me a kind smile, a smile I can't trust anymore, "we're the good guys. We have good reasons. Gracelyn will explain."

I start to back up. I have to get out of here. They're the reason why my parents are dead. Uncle John must've noticed me trying to escape because he came around and put a firm hand on my shoulder. Aunt Gracelyn smiled up at me and pulled her curly hair back into a high pony tail. Then she took a sip of water and started explaining,

"First order of business, we're not Guardian Angels, and neither was your mother. We're archangels. Growing up, me and your mother had to prove ourselves worthy enough so our wings wouldn't be torn off, meanwhile the seraphim race was immediately accepted by heaven. The archangels have always been working hard and the Seraph Angels haven't even lifted a finger. I planned with Delaney and came up with the idea of eliminating the seraphim race and other supernaturals who got in the way. It was a perfect plan, but we realized we would be killing immortals. We heard rumors about a stone so powerful that could kill immortals. Delaney was the one to find the stone. She was so set on evolving the supernatural race and eliminating the seraphim race that she spent every day devoting herself to this plan. Years passed and we hadn't made much progress, so we had to go undercover. We both decided telling people we were guardian angels would attract less suspiciousness, and we came up with a plan. Delaney would marry William Halewood, a powerful man in the seraphim race, and she would kill him when it was time. The plan was for her to make him fall in love with her and then she would marry him, and when we gathered enough allies she would kill him. But she had you, Eleanor, a factor that was not in the plan. That's when I realized my sister, an archangel, had fallen in love with a Seraph Angel. I felt so betrayed. My own husband, John, suggested to kill both of the seraphim immediately, but I refused. I knew there was something special about you. There had to be, for a daughter of an archangel and seraphim? I waited patiently as you grew up. One day, you were playing in the backyard while I was over visiting Delaney. She told me how it was an accident, she didn't mean to give birth to you, but how was that accidental? I didn't believe her. I watched you play and the yard, and I saw something that I never had seen before. Your golden wings. Never before had I heard of golden wings. Only white, gray, and black. I knew there had to be a mistake, but every time I saw you, I saw your golden wings. I asked Delaney about it, but she didn't know what I was talking about. She told me your wings were obviously white, but she knew they were gold too, but she refused to admit to me. She didn't want me hurting her seraphim daughter. William had always been away on business trips. I always wondered why, so I followed him once on one to Seabrook, New Hampshire. He visited a family of Angels of Death. The Bianchi family. They had three children, Mariel, Blake, and Levi. Who, I all knew were very powerful, but something was different about Mariel; she wasn't an Angel of Death. I hired a werewolf to scent out her species, and he did for me. He told me she was a Seraph Angel. Oh, I was so shocked, for how did two Angels of Death have a Seraph? The mystery still remains. Then, I learned that William and Mr. Bianchi were scheming. They found out about me. They knew I wasn't a guardian angel and they knew I was up to something. I had to get rid of Mr. and Mrs. Bianchi, so I killed them with the rare stone that I molded into a sharp sword. I call the sword: The Seraphim Sword. For, it is the sword that I will kill the seraphim and any other supernatural to get in my way. William didn't know who killed The Bianchi parents, but he never returned to Seabrook to find out. He was a coward, and he couldn't face the fact that someone was killing immortals.  I tried to spend some years away from my newly formed group that I named, Vita. Vita for the new life, for the evolution. I faked a divorce with John to make things seem somewhat normal towards William, but your mother and father told you that he died. They didn't want you to wonder why he left me, and I don't blame them. Years passed, and I had had a enough of your father, so I planned to myrder him behind Delaney's back. When she found out I killed him, she told me I could never speak to her again and I could never visit you. She didn't trust me anymore. Finally, I summoned a nogitsune, a powerful demonic Japanese spirit. I needed him and his mind games to get you in Seabrook. I needed to make progress with my plan. I needed one seraphim in particular... you. I ordered the nogitsune to do my dirty work and he did, but then he didn't listen to me. He killed your mother, and that was never apart of the plan. My sister, Delaney, was supposed to live. She was supposed to be my second hand in this war, but the nogitsune ruined it. I made him vulnerable for death, and you and your friends killed him for me. I realized you were orphaned, Eleanor, so I put a thought in your mind to call me and tell me what happened, and I would suggest moving to Seabrook to stay with you, to be your guardian. Now, Eleanor, you must decide. If you don't ally with me and help me eliminate all seraphim except for you- well I'm going to have to kill you."
