"Isaiah?" I ask looking through my window that might. His white hair glowing against the darkness of night. He knocks on the window, signaling to open, and I do.
"Hey," he smirks.
"What are you doing here," I sigh tilting my head.
"You know just chillin'," I stare at him for awhile until he became serious, "alright, alright, I admit I missed you."
"So, since you missed me, you decided to walk over to my house and sit outside my window until I noticed?" I laughed.
"No, Hale, I drove, I wouldn't walk for ten minutes, are you kidding?"
"You're unbelievable," I roll my eyes at him.
"I know, and my mom forgot to buy some blood so I did some midnight snacking on my way over," he smirk widens.
"You're not serious, right?" I heave a nervous laugh.
"Someone might wanna check out Fairview Avenue to make someone is still alive."
"Isaiah!" I gasp.
"Kidding! Totally kidding. My mom makes sure to have a stock of blood for my teenage cravings," he finally climbs inside and sits next to me on my bed, and I close my laptop and turn to face the side of him.
"You're insane," I rest my chin on my knuckles.
"Already knew that," he smiles.
"Now," I sigh, "what are you really doing here?"
"I want to give Ember a real first date," he pauses at me flinching and he smirks, "are you jealous, Hale?"
"Me? Jealous? You're kidding," I laugh.
"Mm, I can see the jealousy all over your face," he looks me up and down.
"If you're going to accuse me of jealousy then you need to leave because I have a boyfriend, Levi, if you happened to forget," I snarl, and regret it as soon as it escaped, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"It's all good, Eleanor. Jealousy brings out the worst in us, but anyways I was planning to do something for Em- oh hell with it," he shrugs and turns to face me.
"Hell with what? You're not going to give her a first date?" I ask.
"I came here to prove to myself I was over with you so I could move on to Ember because I love her, but I'm also in love with you still."
"Isaiah," I laugh, "you can't change who you love, and if you came here to prove to yourself you weren't still in love with me, but you are, then that's fine. You can date Ember because it's not like you're going to be dating me too."
His fingers trace his lips as he thinks, "the problem is that I look at her and I see you, but I want to see Ember Edgeworth not Eleanor Halewood," I shiver at his words and gulp, my eyes begin to fill with water, but I don't let them shed.
"Do you really see me instead of her?"
"Yes, and it pains me every time. I'm in hell, Eleanor, and I can't escape," his voice wavers and I hug him tightly, the tears finally shedding.
"Isaiah," I whisper in his ear, "you don't have to date her if it pains you, but I hope you try to move on from me and eventually become more with Ember because she really likes you."
"I'll never move on from you, Eleanor. Because you were my first love. I will always love you, but I will try," he whispers back, his warm lips against my ear, "can I at least kiss you on more time?"
I think this over before responding, I'm dating Levi, and I would be cheating on him if I kissed Isaiah. And I would be hurting Ember if she found out I kissed him tonight, but one kiss? One kiss that might help him move on? I'll feel guilty about it later as I say, "Yes."
His lips move from my ear to my cheek to my lips. His lips warm, especially warm for a vampire. His hands travel along my back and mine play in his hair. This feels so wrong, but the devilish part inside of me loves it. He smiles through the kiss, and he pulls back an inch, so I can see his wild eyes racing, and I can't help but kiss him once again, this much more quickly, this one the final goodbye. And now I am finally going to move on from Isaiah Myhre and he will be nothing more than my best friend.
