The hallways are empty when I leave the office. I decide I can take my time and go to the bathroom to clean myself up. I just need some peace and quiet before entering a classroom and having to work.
I stand in the girl's bathroom stall. Tracing my hand over the words people wrote in sharpie. It's a nice distraction for once, but then I here someone enter, and stop. No, two people entered. I stare through the cracks to find Zoe and Avery do their makeup in the mirrors.
"Ya know," Zoe starts out, "Eleanor is just full of crap. She thinks she's some great angel that can do anything, but she seems to forget I'm a Saraph Angel too," I forgot that the school released all of the crazies done in the basement for fair judgement since Mr. Asmodeus through the ones who were rebelling done there.
"Zoe, it's not that her ego is so big. It's that her friends egos are big and that makes her feel powerful," Avery laughs, "Isaiah shouldn't have broken up with me because now I'm going to make sure he dies."
I flinch, but not enough for them to notice. I have to keep listening, "Don't forget Isaiah broke my heart when I saw him with Eleanor. She is such a slut, Levi and Isaiah?"
"But of course Isaiah moved on to that loser new girl. Seriously, her red hair sucks," Avery scuffs and Zoe laughs.
"What kind of boy would love a ginger?" Zoe rolls her eyes at her reflection.
"I bet Isaiah is just using her for her body because she is a stick," Avery laughs, "he'll dump her right after the night she gives in."
I clench my fists. Isaiah wouldn't get involved with Ember just for the sex. He isn't like that and I wouldn't let him do that to my best friend. Finally after Avery finishes her eight pound layer of makeup, they leave. I count to ten and then leave the bathroom myself. I completely missed first period, but I don't care anymore. I need to tell someone what I heard, not the best idea to tell Ember and why would Levi care about Isaiah, so my best bet is talk to Isaiah alone.
