Chapter 27~ "We're going to a party tonight."

| The next morning |

-Maddy-

I woke up to someone jumping on my bed. "Get up, Maddy!" the girl said. I opened my eyes to see Ava sitting on my bed. "Ava, what are you doing?" I asked covering my head with a pillow. "Your aunt let me in," she said ripping the pillow from my hands. "I just want to sleeeep," I whined. "Can't do that, sorry," she said, "Come on, I want to take you shopping!" "Did you say shopping?!" I said sitting up quickly making my head spin. "Yup," she said popping the 'p'. "So, get dressed, lazy!" she yelled. I lifted the blanket and climbed out of bed. I walked to the closet looking for my Pierce the Veil band tee once I found it I moved on to my dresser and grabbed a pair of skinny jeans. "You know it's suppose to be like 90 today, right?" Ava said. "I didn't think of that," I said throwing the jeans back and grabbing a pair of shorts instead. Once I was dressed I slipped on my black toms and brushed my tangled hair. I applied my usual amount of make up and I was ready. I grabbed my purse and phone then Ava and I left.

"You're probably wondering why I wanted you to come to the mall on this fine day," Ava said slinging her arm over my shoulders. "Actually, I wasn't wondering that at all," I laughed. "Well, I brought you here because you need to get a new party dress," she said throwing a smirk my way. "And why would that be?" I asked. "Because we're going to a party tonight."

-Luke-

I actually got a decent night sleep, last night, for once. I decided on going for a little ride to a few places Maddy and I have been together. I drove out to the old pier which is near this little pub we went to one night. We were wasted when we stumbled upon the little pier I remember it clearly.

| Flashback |

"Lukeeeee, come on," Maddy whined pulling my arm. "I'm coming," I slurred as I almost tripped. She pulled me towards the pier. She let go of my hand and ran onto the old wooden dock. She started stripping her clothes. "Maddy, what are you doing?" I asked as I stumbled my way on the dock. "Going for a swim what does it look like?" she asked facing me while she backed up. She was now just in her bra and underwear.

Before I could protest her idea she dived into the water. I shrugged and stripped off my clothes until I was just in my boxers. "Jump in, Luke," Maddy said with that I jumped into the ice cold water. "Wasn't that fun?" she slurred. "Not as fun as this is gonna be!" I said as I dunked her head under the water. When she came back up she was furious. "What was that for!" she yelled.

"Pay back for making me get in this freezing water!" I yelled over her. She looked at me for a sec,  silent, then broke out laughing. I joined into her laughter. Once our laughter slowed down I muttered the words, "I love you."

I wiped away a tear that came from my eye and then I shoved my hand back into my jacket pocket. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my contacts until I reached Maddy's name. I was tempted to click her name and to call her. Just to hear her voice, but I changed my mind and locked my phone slipping it back into my pocket.

-Maddy-

We looked around for hours until when we were in Forever 21 that I found something. I went into the changing rooms and changed. "Now this isn't really a dress per say but I like it," I said as I exited the dressing room. Ava looked up from her phone at me her jaw dropping. "That is absolutely gorgeous on you!" she squealed. I did a little spin. "The guys are gonna be all over you!" she said laughing.
