Chapter 19~ "Then I guess I'm gonna have to go find her myself."

-Maddy-

I was afraid of what my father would do to Luke. Did I even mean it when I said I loved Luke? Or did I just say that to piss him off? "I'm leaving don't try and do something stupid, like trying to escape," he said as he left slamming the door behind him. I heard the car start up and leave. My hands were still hand cuffed to the bed frame. I started pulling my hands in a attempt to get free. I let out a sigh of anger when I couldn't get free.

I blew some wind in order to get a strain of hair off my face. I looked around the room. My eyes fell on my phone, that was on the floor, by the bed. I swung my feet off the bed and tried to pick up my phone, with my feet. After about five tries I was able to get it on the bed. Great I only have 3% left. Well, that should be at least enough for one phone call.

I took my feet and unlocked my phone. I went into my contact list and found Luke's number and hit call. "Hello?" I heard Luke's sweet voice say. "Luke! It's me Maddy!" I screamed into the phone. "Maddy? Are you okay? Where are you?" he asked his voice lifting. "Yes, Luke, I'm just dandy. No I'm not fucking okay I've been kidnaped by my crazy father! Also, I don't know exactly in some o-" I said as the phone beeped. The last thing I heard was Luke franticly yelling my name as the phone died. "Of course the one time I need my phone it dies!" I said annoyed.

-Luke-

We were in the middle of talking to the police when my phone began ringing. I didn't know if I should answer it or let it ring. "First all w- for god sakes son answer your phone," the officer said annoyed. "Sorry," I mumbled as I answered without looking at the number. "Hello?" I asked. "Luke! It's me Maddy!" I heard my girlfriend's voice say. "Maddy? Are you okay? Where are you?" I asked my voice raising.

Everyone snapped their heads in my direction when I said her name. "Yes, Luke, I'm just dandy. No I'm not fucking okay I've been kidnaped by my crazy father! Also, I don't know exactly in some o-" she said sarcasm in her voice when I heard a beep. "Maddy? Maddy!" I yelled frantically. Next thing I knew Maddy was gone. "Ugh!" I yelled about to throw my phone when Michael stopped me.

"What did she say?" the officer asked. "Not much. Just that it was her father that took her. Her phone died cutting us off," I said as I fell into the chair angry. The officer took a glance at his watch. "Dang, it's eight already?" he said. "Once it hits the 24 hour mark we can send out a amber alert and get to looking for her. Till then there is nothing we can do," he said closing his notebook sticking the pen in the spiral.

"24 hours!" I yelled, "He can easily kill her before then! And that's all you fucking can do?!" I yelled standing up my fist clenched. I felt Ashton and Calum hold me back. "I would rather you not raise your voice at me, son," he said pointing his sausage of a finger at me. "Second, the law states that we have to wait 24 hours after someone is reported missing before you may start anything. Sorry, kid, I don't make the rules," he said standing up.

I pushed Calum and Ashton out of my way walking to the door. Once my hand was on the handle I turned and said, "Then I guess I'm gonna have to go find her myself." I pulled the door open and walked out. I heard four pairs of footsteps following me. "Luke! Wait up!" I heard Michael yell. "What?" I snapped turning around. "We're coming with you," Calum said. "No, this is something I need to do myself," I said turning back around and leaving.

I jumped into my car and sped away. My eyes began to blur from tears. I was going about 20 miles over the speed limit, and I didn't care. My mind started flooding with images of Maddy and I, and the feelings that went with them. I decided to go to Maddy's house and look for clues. I pulled into her drive and went to the front door. I grabbed the hideaway key from under the mat.

I ducked under the caution tape and made my way in. I walked up to Maddy's parent's room. I started rummaging through drawers looking for any clue to wear he could of took her. After not finding anything, I moved to Maddy's room. I pulled out my iPhone and turned on the flashlight.

Maddy's room looked untouched. I went over to her dressers and picked up a picture frame with a picture of her and Nicole. I smiled putting the picture down and looking at another. This one was a picture of Maddy and the guys. Behind that picture was one of her and I. Tears came to my eyes. A tear fell out and landed on the picture frame. I sat it down. A certain picture caught my eye. It was a self portrait of Maddy's father next to a portrait of her mother. I picked it up examining it. Next thing I knew I flung it across the room causing the glass to shatter. I stood there for a second with my breathing heavy. When I heard footsteps hitting against the wooden stairs. Realizing I wasn't alone...
