-Maddy-
When I woke up I was spread out on Michael's bed. When I sat up I found Michael in the ball on the floor. I poked Michael causing him to wake in shock. I laughed, "Why are you on the floor?" "Because someone's skinny ass pushed me off the bed," he grumbled. "My bad," I said trying to suppress my laughter. Michael stood up and stretched. "I think someone needs to be punished for making me sleep on the floor," he said smirking. "Don't you dare!" I shriek. "It's time for the... TICKLE MONSTER!" he yells as he lungs for me tickling me violently.
"Stop! Stop!" I plead laughing out of control. Michael ended his tickling. Michael fell backwards on his bed and I did the same. Michael sighed. "So... when do you have to leave?" he asked. "My aunt wants me to buy a ticket for the eight o'clock plane to Cali," I said looking at the ceiling. "Promise me you won't completely lose touch," Michael said looking at me. I laid my head on his shoulder. "I promise. Now can we please not talk about it," I said.
Michael and I starred up at his ceiling. "Well, I'll tell you what we are not going to do, and that is lay here all day and cry," Michael said getting up. We climbed into Michael's car and drove to Luke's. When we got there he wasn't there. "I hope he's okay," I said bitting my lip. "I'm sure he's fine," Michael said slinging his arm on my shoulder. We packed up my stuff and I changed my outfit.
We went back to Michael's. He opened the door to the dark room. "Didn't we leave-" I was interrupted by the lights turning on and everyone yelling "surprise". "You guys really shouldn't of..." I said as they all crowed around me. I noticed the person I wanted to see the most was missing from the group. "Where's Luke?" I asked. The room fell silent "I said where's Luke?!" I asked again raising my voice slightly.
"We tried calling him, but he won't answer," Ashton said running his hand through his hair. "He's probably just upset about your fight last night, Mads," Nicole said. "P-please don't call me Mads..." I said. I lowered my voice a little, "It reminds me too much of Luke..." "Come on, Maddy, I'm sure he's just fine," Calum said. I sighed. "Look, Maddy, we have all your favorite food!" Nicole said grabbing my hand.
We reminisced on some good times for awhile and then watched a movie. Halfway through the movie I got up, "I'll be right back," I said. Nicole nodded. I pulled out my phone and called Luke. The phone rang and rang till it finally went to voicemail. "Luke, it's me Maddy- um I just called to tell you- um that my plane leaves at eight... I really want to say goodbye in person. But if I don't get the chance I just want you to know, I love you, Luke, and I always will," I said. I hung up the phone as tears began falling. I wiped away the tears.
I decided to go for a walk. I was welcomed by the cool Australian wind that I was gonna miss so much. I grew up here and because of my horrible father I have to leave the only home I've ever known and all my friends. The sunset emitted a beautiful orangish red color throughout the sky. My life is about to be so different.
We all piled into our cars and drove to the airport. The ride there was quiet and awkward. I starred out the window. When we got there the boys helped with my luggage. I got my ticket and started saying my goodbyes. I went up to Nicole and hugged her as I held back tears. "I'm really going to miss you, Maddy," she said whipping away tears. I hugged the boys. "Goodbye, Maddy," they said. "Please don't say goodbye... goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting," I said as I began crying. We shared one last group hug that was short one person... Luke.
I grabbed my bag and rolled it to the metal detector. I took one last look at my friends. They were holding back tears and waving. I began walking to the gate when I faintly heard someone calling my name. "Maddy!" "Maddy!" it yelled. I turned around to see Luke running towards me. "Luke!" I yelled as I began running towards him. I jumped into his arms and wrapped my legs around his torso. I let the tears fall. I looked at Luke to see that he was crying as well. "I love you, Maddy," he said. "I love you too, Luke," I said as I kissed him passionately.
"Flight 224 is now boarding," the announcer said. I got off Luke and he pressed his forehead to my forehead. "I'm gonna miss you so much, Mads," he said, "I'm going to call you everyday." "Luke, listen, I love you and I always will, but I'm going to be in a whole different country..." I said. "W-what are you saying?" he asked. "I-I just don't think I can handle a long distance relationship," I said. "Maddy, please. I can't live without you," he said. "I'm sorry, Luke," I said crying. I turned away from him and our hands slowly let go of each other and I walked away. I handed the person the ticket. I took one last look at Luke my eyes filled with tears and turned back around leaving the only thing I've ever known behind me.
