Chapter 15~ "We should go camping!"

Maddy and I have been dating for a week now, but we haven't done anything as a 'couple'. Then again I've been busy with the band and her with school. "Let's do something this weekend, together," Maddy suggested as we all sat in a circle. We were taking a break from band practice and Nicole and Maddy tagged along like the usual.

"Like what?" I asked as Maddy sat down next to me leaning her head on my shoulder. "We should go camping!" Nicole said excitedly. Calum and Michael moaned. "You mean that Calum and I get to sit around a fire and watch you couples do couple things while we're single?" Michael said crossing his arms over his chest. "Well, if you want to be that way you two don't need to come," Maddy said twirling her hair on her finger.

"I can't go anyways," Calum said shrugging. "Why?" Ashton asked. "My favorite soccer team the USWNT are coming here for a game and I got a front row ticket. Also, at the end I get to meet the players," Calum explained. "You mean you're going to go watch girls run around and kick a ball all day? I'm in!" Michael yelled. "No, your not in. I only got one ticket," Calum added. Michael slumped in his seat.

"Are we going camping or what?" Maddy said sitting up. "I'm in. Ashton, Nicole?" I asked. "How about it babe?" Ashton said putting his arm around Nicole's waist. "Let's do it!" Nicole said excitedly.

After driving for 2 hours we finally made it to the campground. We found a spot and climbed out of the car. "Ah, finally we're here," Maddy said stretching. "We probably want to set up the tents before it gets dark," Ashton said throwing the two tent bags down.

"Maddy and I will set this one up you two can do the other one," Nicole said picking up a tent bag. "Are you sure you two can handle it?" I asked. "What are you trying to say, Hemmings? That girls can't set up a tent?" Maddy asked putting her hands on her hips. I love it when she calls me Hemmings it's kinda hot.

"I wasn't saying that!" I said throwing my hands up in defense. Maddy shot me a look of disbelief. It toke Maddy and Nicole ten minuets to set their tent when Ashton and I were still trying to put the poles together. "How the fuck did you guys do that?!" I asked confused. "Step out the way boys let the pros take control," Maddy said acting sassy.

Ashton and I backed up letting Maddy and Nicole take control of the tent ten minuets later our tent was up. "You guys think you can blow up the air mattress by yourselves?" Nicole asked shoving the pump into Ashton's chest. "Hurtful," Ashton said rubbing his chest. Nicole smirked and walked away. By the time we had everything set up we were all tired and headed to bed.

| The next day |

"Rise and shine ladies!" Ashton and I yelled jumping on their bed. "Go away!" Maddy yelled throwing her pillow at me. "Oh, no you didn't!" I said snapping my fingers in the z formation. I took her pillow and hit her with it next thing I knew she tackled me. Our lips were centimeters apart our breathing heavy. I started to lean in when she pulled away and smirked.

"Hey!" I yelled. "Oh, what the baby wanted a kiss?" she said making puppy dog eyes and pouting. "Actually, yes!" I said trying to grab her. "Then you got to catch me," she said climbing out of the tent. "Oh, you're gonna get it," I said running after her. She stopped and put her hands on hips and said, "You can't get me. You can't get me ha ha." When she tried to run away I grabbed her wrist and pulled her close. "I caught you now time for my reward," I said crashing my lips to hers she threw her tiny arms around my neck. Her hand went through my hair pushing our heads closer together deepening our kiss.

"Are you two almost done?" Nicole's voice said from behind us. I turned to see her with her hands on her hips. Maddy and I backed away from each other fixing our clothes. "Come on, guys, we're going fishing!" Ashton said holding four fishing poles. "I'm good," Nicole said, "I fish enough at home, with my dad." "Maddy wants food," Maddy said next to me. "I agree with, Maddy," I said imitating Maddy. She stuck her tongue at me.

We all decided to go into town and eat. After we ate we went fishing like Ashton wanted to. Ashton and I caught nothing while Maddy and Nicole caught everything. It was time for dinner when we got back. Ashton and I made hamburgers and we had some salads. After our bellies were full we made a fire and sat around it.

I grabbed my guitar and started strumming. Ashton started tapping his fingers on his leg creating a drum beat. I began singing Take me back to the middle of nowhere. Back to the place only you and I share. Remember all the memories? The fireflies and make-believe. Kicking back in the old school yard. Singing songs on our guitars. This is our reality. Crazy stupid, you and me. We know this is the way it's supposed to be.

I looked up from my guitar towards Maddy she was smiling like crazy. Ashton and I sang the chorus. So we're taking the long way home. 'Cause I don't wanna be wasting my time alone. I wanna get lost and drive forever with you. Talkin' bout nothing, yeah, whatever, baby. So we're taking the long way home tonight. We're taking the long way home. We're taking the long way home. When the we finished Ashton sang the next part while tapping on his leg. Now we're stuck in the middle of nowhere. Yeah, you know we took our time to get there. We're hiding out in a dream. Catching fire like kerosene. And you know I'd never let you down. 'Til the sun comes up, we can own this town. Something like make-believe. Living in a movie scene. When we finished Maddy and Nicole clapped. "I think that's enough for tonight," I said putting the guitar down. I saw Maddy lean towards Nicole and whisper something in her ear. Maddy stood up and walked towards me. She dragged me to the tent. Looks like we're cuddling tonight.

| Next day |

We were all packing up when Maddy said, "I'll be right back I have to pee." She grabbed her purse and walked towards the bathroom. It was like an hour later and Maddy still didn't return. "Guys, where's Maddy?" I asked. "I don't know," Nicole said. "Let's go look for her,"Ashton said. We went up to the bathroom and Nicole went inside when she came back she had terror on her face. "She's not in there..."
