-Maddy-

The plane ride was boring as hell and when it landed I grabbed my stuff from the baggage return. My aunt, uncle, and cousin attacked me when they saw me. We climbed into my aunt's car. I starred out the window ignoring all contact with my family. "Well, here we are!" my Aunt Stacy said. We climbed out of the car and my uncle grabbed my bags. I decided not to protest. "Amanda, show Maddy her room," my uncle said.

"Right this way," Amanda said gesturing towards the stairs. Their house was huge compared to my old house. "Here is your room," she said opening the door. The room was a light shade of yellow. With a king size bed with a yellow bed spread. "You like it?" she asked. I nodded not wanting to speak. My uncle brought my bags up moments later. I glanced at the clock on the nightstand it read 7 A.M.. I looked out the window to see the California sun rise over the ocean. I slipped out of my skinny jeans and into some shorts.

"Maddy do you want some breakfast?" my aunt yelled up. "No, I think I'm gonna sleep!" I yelled back. "Okay dear!" she yelled. I lifted the cover and climbed into the bed. I grabbed my phone and turned it on. I created a group chat with the boys and Nicole.

Me: I made it to Cali. Australia is really where I should be :( I better catch some sleep. I miss you guys already.

I fought my tears. I grabbed the pillow next to me and shoved my head in the pillow as the tears began to fall. I soon fell asleep while crying.

"Guys I'm worried about Luke," I whispered to Calum. I glanced at Luke who was faced down on the couch. "I'm sure he's fine. She's only been gone a few hours. He'll snap out of it," Calum whispered shrugging. Nicole was curled up in a ball on the couch. "Babe?" I said lightly shaking her. "Hmm?" she hummed. "Come on, let's go to bed," I said. "Carry me?" she asked throwing her arms in the air. I heard a wale come from Luke. "I remember when I used to carry her to bed," he cried emphasizing the word her. I rolled my eyes and picked Nicole up bridal style. I carried her upstairs to my room and laid her on the bed.

I climbed in next to her. I wrapped my arms around her torso and she laid her head on my chest. "I hope Maddy is doing better than Luke is," Nicole said. "Yea... at least Luke has us to help him," I added. "Poor Maddy has no one," Nicole added before she drifted to sleep.

-Luke-

I laid on the couch rethinking the whole incident at the airport. Imagining all the possibilities that could of happen if I just said something different. If I didn't just let her walk away when we had that fight maybe she would still be in my arms. Maybe a walk will help me clear my head. I used all my energy to lift my body off the couch. "Where are you going, Luke?" Michael said making eye contact with me.

"Just for a walk," I said, "I will probably just go to my flat after. See you guys later." I grabbed my leather jacket and slipped on my shoes. I roamed the empty streets with no set destination. Before I knew it I passed the club I first kissed Maddy at. If only I could wake up with amnesia and forget about the stupid little things. I shook the thoughts out of my head and continued walking this time towards my flat.
