MINNIE POV
Once I got home I realized Karina wasn't back. My heart was racing, what could she be doing to Hyunjin?
I was always scared of her but now that I knew the truth it just adds on my fear.
Without thinking too much I start to look for the device.
It could be a camera, a tablet, computer maybe even just a phone. I have to try..
I open cupboards and look at desks. I looked into her closet too. No luck.
I went back to my room hopelessly. I start to think, about everything.
If the death of the autograph boy wasn't enough, Karina ruined my life. She took away everything from me.
My friends, my rights, my dignity...freedom in general. It's not fair. Everyday I regret my actions because of the autograph boy and I'm sick of dwelling on the past.
I want to move on, I need to move on.
I take deep breaths and try to think where she could be keeping it.
If I look back on things, I remember getting a SHEIN package that she ordered. It was when she invited Mina over.
I didn't quite get what was inside but I didn't ask too many questions. Maybe she bought some sort of camera? Do they even buy those online?
I sigh.
I guess I'll have to check.
I go online and look for small cameras that can be connected to phones and anyone would be shocked about how many there are.
The bigs ones are mostly used for putting in your front door to keep an eye on your neighborhood and stuff like that.
But the small ones were more sneaky and incriminating. I'm guessing those are the ones she bought.
Now that I know what it looks like, I have to find where she would keep it.
I begin to think. Karina is not a dumb person...no, in fact she's so smart. If she needed to hide something she would put it in a place so predictable that it's not.
But if that's so, then she must mean the camera isn't here. How can she look on her phone with the camera somewhere but it's in her home? That's just not possible.
It's just another dead end.
I decide to call Chan and tell him what I just realized.
"Hello?" "Hey, Chan." "Any leads?" He asks me. "No...the camera she is using is connected to her phone. We need to look at her phone not the camera."
He sighs.
"Then...find the phone?" "How?" "You could try replacing hers with one that looks like her original phone." He suggests bluntly.
"If she realizes before I can get my hands on hers it won't end well. She'll probably end up kidnapping me too."
"I...I honestly don't know, Minnie. I'm not a genius." He says.
"I get that. I'm sorry." ... "I'll think of ideas, if anything pops up I'll call you back."
He hangs up the phone and I'm really starting to give up.
It's so confusing and unclear. One minute we waste is another minute Hyunjin is being held away from us.
Suddenly, the front door opens and shut.
"I'm home." Karina yells. She walks in and heads to her room.
I wonder what happened.
LATER TODAY
I'm watching the anime Death Note on my phone as Karina walks in.
"Hey Minnie." She starts.
"I need a favor."
A favor?
"This might be a hard thing to ask."
I don't understand....is it that bad? What will she make me do?
"If you say no just remember I have that video of you." She tells me.
I nod indicating that I understand her.
"Good." She says.
"Could you...kill Mina for me please?"
