Friday night finally arrived, and Misha stood at the entrance of a large, impressive two-story house in a well-to-do neighborhood.

The house was big and elegant, and the neighborhood around it was clearly high-end, making her feel both excited and a little nervous.

As Vedansh welcomed her inside, Misha felt butterflies in her stomach. The house was filled with the warm scent of spices, and she could hear laughter coming from a brightly lit room, adding to her nervous excitement.

"Welcome, Misha!" A deep, hearty voice boomed, A tall, imposing man with a salt-and-pepper beard stepped out of the living room, his arms wide open for a hug. "Vedansh has told us so much about you."

Misha, caught off guard by the man's energetic welcome, managed to stammer a greeting as Vedansh introduced her to his father, Mr. Sharma.

A beautiful woman with warm eyes and a gentle smile joined them - Mrs.Sharma, Vedansh's mother.

Finally, a younger girl, no older than sixteen-seventeen with bright, curious eyes, peeked out from behind her mother's side. This was Rhea, Vedansh's younger sister.

"It's so lovely to finally meet you, Misha," Mrs. Sharma said, enveloping her in a warm embrace. "We've heard wonderful things about your academic achievements."

Misha blushed under the barrage of attention. "Thank you," she managed, feeling a touch overwhelmed. The Sharmas were everything Vedansh had described - warm, welcoming, and genuinely interested in getting to know her.

The evening flowed with conversation and laughter. Mrs. Sharma, a skilled cook, had prepared a delicious home-cooked meal, a medley of Indian dishes that filled the room with an enticing aroma.

Rhea, initially shy, warmed up to Misha, peppering her with questions about college life. Mr. Sharma, a successful businessman, entertained them with lively stories from his travels. Meanwhile, Vedansh, being the perfect host, made sure Misha's glass was always full and her plate was never empty.

Throughout the dinner, Misha couldn't help but steal glances at Vedansh. He seemed different tonight, relaxed and at ease in his own environment. He exchanged playful banter with his sister, his eyes crinkling at the corners with amusement whenever she made a clever remark.

He listened carefully to his parents, and when he responded, it was with genuine respect. This was a side of Vedansh that Misha hadn't seen before—a look into his life beyond the confident image he showed at college.

As the night drew to a close, Misha felt a pang of sadness. She had genuinely enjoyed spending time with the Sharmas. They were a wonderful family, and she understood why Vedansh held them so close.

"Thank you for inviting me," Misha said sincerely to Vedansh's parents as they stood on the porch, bidding them farewell. "It was a lovely evening."
