I leaned foward in my chair, which I had been doing for the past few minutes now. The sky outside of my house was already dark by now, and the only thing that accompanies me was the thoughts of who to impress or what I should write in order to impress one of them.
I had to think.. think, think, think.
..an idea then entered my head. Swiftly, I leaned foward again, and began to rapidly write on the thin sheet of paper that laid before me on the smooth surface of the desk.

Another night comes after another long day at work, and before I know it, I find myself back in the tiny room of the movie club. The lights still dangling around the lines of the ceiling, the little table in the center of the room, the TV. As always, it looks about the same. The more time I seem to spend here, the more comfortable I've been feeling. Even though I had only really joined with the intention of impressing one of the boys here, it was actually starting to become kinda fun.
As I take a step inside—I notice Radford standing near the table in the center of the room. Upon hearing me enter, his head snaps toward my direction and his lips quickly form into a grin. "Oh, hey, dude!" Radford cheerfully beams, quickly rushing over to me with his feet racing beneath him practically.
I try to respond, but then find his arms slipping around me and tightening into an embrace. Normally—I'd be kinda embarrassed. But I can't help but laugh a little in amusement this time around. "Sheesh—what's got you so happy today?"
"Heheh—I dunno, dude." Radford replies, finally letting go of me. "It's still just kinda hard to believe you're actually here. It's nice!"
"Hah.. jeez. You're still on about that?" I ask playfully. "At this point I'm starting to think you'll go into a happy fit anytime you see me."
Radford chuckles nervously, before his eyes start to light up a little. "Oh! That reminds me. Since we won't be sharing scripts for a while, you wanna go get some snacks from that convenience store nearby? We can just walk there since it's not like it's that far anyway."
I yawn. "..nah, I'm good."
Radford cocks his head to the side in confusion. And I only stare back at him with half-lidded eyes, muttering, "It's not like we'll need any when Kevin probably brought some again anyway. And plus, I think I know what you're trying to pull.."
A bead of sweat forms on Radfords face. "..u—uh.. what are you talking about, dude? I'm not pulling anything."
"Is that so? Then why don't we take a look at your wallet?"
"Wh—What? Why?"
"I dunno. I just wanted to take a look at it."
Radford's face begins to darken a little with something red, and before I know it, he begins to nervously chuckle. "..uh.. al—alright, dude.." He then slowly slips his hand into his pockets, and pulls out the tiny little brown wallet he has. With trembling hands, he opens it.
I swiftly slip over to his side. Radford nervously glances at me from the corner of my eye, and I quickly smirk at the sight of whats in his wallet. Merely only a few dollars. And not enough to buy exactly what I knew he wanted.
"Knew it.." I laughed gently.
Radford grumbles. "Dudee.. how'd you even know? I didn't even tell you!"
"It's easy. If you had enough to buy those little chips you always buy right at the convenience store, ya would have gone there yourself. And I know you well enough to know you either would have lied about being hungry just to take a walk with me and chat, or because you'd lie about forgetting that you didn't have that much money and would ask me to lend you some. And I think we've both known eachother long enough to know which one of those is more plausible.."
