TW // CREEPY BEHAVIOR AGAIN, OBSESSIVE BEHAVIOR.

Awkwardly, I stood before Rick—silence filling the air once I had finally approached him. I could feel my heart begin to beat a little faster as I went up to him. Rick slowly turned his head. His eyes were staring at me. I knew they were. As they always did. Yet in that moment, I.. didn't like the way he stared at me.

Rick didn't say anything for a moment, before sighing. "..well.. let's see what you wrote for today."

Reluctantly, I hand over my paper without a word, glancing off to the side. He must have noticed the bandage wrapped around my wrist, for I saw him hesitate to take the paper—and his eyes drifted down to my hand. In silence still, he took the paper in his hand and began to read over it.

His eyes scanned over it for a few moments, before a neutral smile formed on his lips. "..its definitely more okay than last night's. You've done a really good job writing these."

I try to muster a smile, softly laughing. "Th—Thanks... I guess hearing your explanations for these kinds of things has helped out a little. You're, um.. really good at explaining.. y'know.."

Rick pauses. I begin to let my eyes drift in his direction. He looks down at the floor—his lips curling into a neutral frown again.. before the lines of his lips then curl upward—the smile that then greets his mouth seeming unnatural. It's not a large one or anything like that. But unlike the neutral smile he usually wears—it forms into something else. The lines of his lips seem weirdly.. crooked.

I let my eyes lift foward. His eyes stared at me. Normally, they seemed blank—but now they were wide and his pupils looked oddly small as they just.. looked at me.

"..thanks. I don't think I've ever felt this important in my life." Rick says in his usual monotone way of speaking. At least.. sort of. His voice is low like always, but something in his voice just trembles a little as he speaks. "Your scripts have been making me really happy. And that's.. saying something because.." His voice falters a little. "..well, I don't.. normally feel like this."

"Oh.. uhh.. well, thats.."

The tremble in his voice returns as his now wide eyes stare at the script for a moment. His smile completely faded, he speaks, "..just holding this feels nice on its own. You've been making me feel a lot of things I don't normally feel." He lifts his head, tilting his head to the side in a slightly robotic manner. "..just what's with you..? Why do you make me feel this happy..? This isn't weird or anything, right..?"

"I don't.. um.."

"That doesn't matter right now. I'm.." Rick pauses, his voice faltering again as he looks at me. "..sorry if I'm being a little weird right now. I'm just not really used to feeling like anything I say matters. Or like anyone really values what I'm saying."

"It's—It's fine! It's.. fine. Take your time, I.. guess."

"Mm.." Rick hums, and then practically shoving the paper into my arms, he speaks with his eyes still wide. I see him step closer, practically gripping the paper in his hands. "..right now, I want you to read this. I want to hear what you think of it."

Even though the sentence is fairly normal—I can't help but sweat a little. Glancing off to the side with my eyes shifting, I force a nod, gulping down spit. "Uhh.. ok—okay. Just.." I look up. Rick's face is oddly close. In fact, he's standing incredibly close.

"Ca—Can you get.. back a little..?"

Rick doesn't say a word, but he does appear to hear what I'm saying, and steps back while still staring at me. I., guess that was good enough.

I sigh—and look down at the paper. Though I begin to feel my eyes shifting nervously between the lines, a bead of sweat forming on my forehead as I read.

"Paper"

"By Rick."

"Paper was made from trees. And trees were made from the ground, from seeds. And seeds formed in the ground. And the ground was formed by all the holy spirits which stayed watching in the sky. The apple was eaten, and so sin stayed. The sin filled the air. The sin filled the air. The sin filled the airrrr and definitely stayed. Air was there from the beginning. Air. Sky. Wind. Grass. Animals. Plants. Human beings. Human beings are normal. Normal as can be. Their brains too large, their hearts too big. Their skin is like a piece of paper. It can be cut open. Their insides are like meat, ready to be eaten. Plenty of humans can be eaten. They're desirable enough, just like meals. Some things are so amazing they have to be eaten. I want to have a taste. I want to have a taste. I want to have a taste. I want to have a taste. I want to"

..I slowly stare up from the paper, and at Rick who begins to glance to the side nervously with a bead of sweat appearing on his skin. He swallows, and let's out a sigh. After a minute of remaining completely quiet, he begins to fumble slowly with his hands.

"It.. well, it's not really about anything. I got a little overwhelmed last night and decided to take it out on your paper.." Rick mumbles, swallowing down again. Seemingly realizing what he said though, he adds, "..uhh.. that is.. some paper fell out of your bag I guess, and I took it with me so I could give it back to you tomorrow. Again, I still felt really overwhelmed last night, so I couldn't really control myself and ended up scribbling all over it. I was just trying to right a script again, but.. mm.."

Well, I.. did keep papers in my bag, so it wasn't impossible that one might have fallen out of it. But—why didn't he just give it back to me before he left last night? I knew he and Kevin were fighting and everything, and that he might have been overwhelmed from his emotions over what Kevin said to him, but.. still.

I begin to feel my heart beat slowly. And it's pace seems to quicken as his eyes turn wide yet again.

"..you're.. touching it now. And I.. wrote on it. And I.. touched it too.." Rick begins to heavily breathe, a sharp exhales leaving his mouth. "..hahh.."

I begin to sweat. I feel panicked thoughts swirling in my head. Not again. Not again. I didn't want this to happen again.

Noticing an expression on my face that I couldn't see, Rick blinked a few times, and slowly shook his head—I felt his hands then reached foward, and he.. lightly shoved me away.

Rick mumbles. "I'm.. sorry. I don't.. I don't know whats up with me right now. Can—Can you just leave me alone for a little bit?"

I can't even muster a response. He then turns away, saying as he began to walk away from me.

"You can have my.. 'script' if you want though. It's supposed to be your paper anyway."
