OPTION 3:
"..ETHAN."

"I.. guess I'll go ahead and help Ethan. Besides, posters seem like they might be a lot of work on their own, so—nn.." I struggle to finish the sentence, noticing the moment I speak those words, Kevin's eyes visibly harden yet widen at the same time as his mouth barely hangs open. Rick, on the other hand, only furrows his brows.

"Heh.. nice." Ethan purred approvingly, "I guess that means I'll go ahead and—"

"Wait, wait, wait—hold on." Kevin cuts in with an irritated tone, frowning and waving his hands. He then points to Ethan with a scowl on his face. "You're choosing him?!"

"U-Uhhh.." I barely manage to even speak back.

"Ethan, you don't even need any help! Posters are like the easiest thing someone could do!" Kevin yells.

"..wh—what?" Ethan utters—arching his brow in startled confusion.

"..I agree with Kevin." Rick adds blankly, his frown more visible on his lips now. "..your work is already easy enough to do on your own. You even already have Radford helping you."

"But they were the one who.. mm.." Ethan can't think of anything else to say.

"Dude, you probably scared them into picking you in the first place!" Kevin defensively says—seemingly realizing what Ethan was going to say before he stopped himself. "You're supposed to be the president here, y'know. The least you could do is not pressure your own club members!"

Rick then adds while taking a step foward, "..you shouldn't let any other motives interfere with this, Ethan. Just—"

"Ulterior motives..? What do you—what do you even mean? With the way you guys are acting, you seem like you'd have more ulterior motives than I would." Ethan finally snaps back, his voice still soft-spoken.

"Excuse—what?!" Kevin's face flushes up into a darker color all of the sudden, his lips curled into a deeper frown now.

"You wouldn't have made this such a big deal in the first place if you didn't.." Ethan says, rolling his eyes.

"That's.. not true, Ethan." Rick hesitantly responds.

"Yeah—what—what even made you think of that in the first place?!" Kevin yells—his dark eyes twisting with a hint of frustration. "We have work to do for this festival too, you know! You can't just leave us to work all on our own."

"I.. well, I.." Ethan pauses. "..I guess thats.. true.."

"..please think of the club, Ethan. If this event is going anywhere, we need some help with the more difficult tasks." Rick mumbles, his tone still soft-spoken—but a little more firm as he stares at Ethan.

"I.. uhh.." Ethan struggles to come up with a good response.

Kevin glares, folding his arms over the other with a simple huff. "Well? What are you gonna do? Are you just gonna stand there, or do something about this?"

Ethan glances at both Kevin and Rick, before letting a sigh escape his mouth as he clasps a hand over his face. "Fine, fine! Ugh.." He then glances back up at me with a half-lidded look in his eyes, his lips only formed into a slightly exasperated frown. "I.. guess it's more fit they help you two. You guys have the harder tasks anyway."

He then sighs again. "Well.. anyone else you'd be interested in helping, new member?"

(YOU DON'T GET TO HELP ETHAN IF YOU CHOOSE THIS OPTION—AND ARE MADE TO CHOOSE EITHER KEVIN, RICK, OR RADFORD INSTEAD.)

OPTION 4:
"..RADFORD.."

I hesitate, letting my head escape to the back of my head as I sheepishly glance around the room. Come to think of it, I.. hadn't really had any thoughts on who else to work with today. Kevin and Rick seemed like options I could choose, but something about what happened with Radford earlier made the very idea feel kinda.. wrong.

After a few moments of them all having their eyes on me, I then manage to stammer out in a slightly hushed voice, "..well.. if.. if I was to be helping anyone out, I'd wanna pick Radford. We've—well, he was the one who brought me here. And we're already childhood friends in the first place, so.."

Rick arched a brow, frowning still. In a clearly confused tone even if he kept his monotone way of speaking, Rick said, "..but didn't Ethan already say that—"

"Dude, Ethan already said Radford was going to be helping him out." Kevin rather sharply said, even if he kept his voice low. "Ugh.. I swear, if you don't wanna pick any of us and go solo, then you can just say it. It's not like you know any of us that we'll anyway—"

"No, no! I'll.. I'll pick if it makes you guys happy. I just—I wanted to.. mm.." An exasperated hum vibrated from out of my lips as I struggled to speak the words I wanted to. I could only feel Kevin's eyes linger upon me—fixing from an annoyed glare to a softer stare of minor concern. Rick's eyes remain blank, but something within them seems to soften too as he glances away.

Ethan then finally let's out a nervous laugh. "Hahah.. sorry, new member." He looks upon me with a slightly pitiful stare as he remains smiling. "I.. didn't think it'd be this hard. I guess if I would have known you wanted to help Rad, I wouldn't have really asked you in the first place, so.. sorry about that."

Ethan then pauses, before letting out a sigh. "Just think of the club, alright? If Radford changes his mind about wanting to help me, I'll let you know. But for now, you should probably pick whoever you can."

"I.. okay.." I muttered.

I.. I still wanted to help Radford, but judging by the way both Kevin and Rick reached, and the rather pitiful way Ethan spoke.. I probably didn't have that much of a choice. After a few moments, I opened my mouth to speak, and decided to pick just anyone who I could generally come across my mind.

(YOU DONT GET TO HELP RADFORD IF YOU CHOOSE THIS OPTION, SO YOU'RE STUCK WITH CHOOSING EITHER KEVIN, RICK, OR ETHAN)

(A/N: Sorry that the chapter is a bit shorter today btw jsnsns—the scenes themselves weren't that long
Also if I don't update somedays it's probably because I'm busy with another fic called Joey and The Ink Machine—which you can check out too if you want but be sure to read the warnings first lmao)
