"Alright, everyone!"
Ethan spoke a little louder this time, raising the volume of his voice as he stood before the center table. He had called us all to sit down at the table a few minutes after we finished sharing, so I had been sitting at the table with all of the others now.
With the usual confident and proud smirk he always wore, Ethan continued to speak. "I had something I wanted to talk to you all about today before we left, so I figured now would be as good of a time as any."
"Wait—" Kevin poked his head up, arching a brow. "Is this about that festival that's coming up in a few days?"
"Mmm.. kinda." Shrugged Ethan.
Kevin's face hardened, and he let out an irritated groan while furrowing his brows. "Ugh.."
"What? Is.. something wrong with that?" Ethan hesitantly asked.
"No, it's just.. we only have a few days before that happens. How are we gonna come up with anything in such a short amount of time?" Kevin asked while frowning, gesturing with his hand.
"I'm kinda worried about that too." Rick added blankly, glancing off to the side.
"Well, don't worry about it.. it shouldn't be too hard." Ethan smiled reassuringly. "We'll just be doing little things like decorations and so on. Radfords been working on posters for the festival recently, and he's gotten most of that done. So I have faith in you guys."
"Well.. okay. But.. are we still doing stuff like picking random movies for people to watch while the festivals happening? I don't see why this much stuff is necessary when that's all it's gonna be." Kevin stated with a confused frown.
"Its., not just that." Ethan hesitantly said, a bead of sweat forming on his cheek as he spoke nervously. "I figured it could be made more special this time around with how good you all are at writing scripts and everything. So I thought—what if we read out our scripts to the audiences before the movie premieres? Or alternatively, what if we perform our scripts with eachother?"
The room went silent. Kevin stared with wide eyes, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment at the thought. Rick looked down at the ground as if embarrassed as well. Radfords grin only surprisingly grew more, and his eyes shined with excitement despite probably having already known what Ethan was thinking of.
"Wh—What?!" Kevin finally yelled, "You—you can't be serious!"
"Don't worry, don't worry." Ethan calmly said while waving his hands, "People are gonna be comin' up to recite some scripts of their own or perform them if they like, so you guys won't be alone. Radfords already been putting that stuff on the posters too, so there's no need to worry that much."
Radford grins more as Ethan mentions his name, opening his mouth to speak. But before he can, Kevin cuts in again. "You've—already been putting that stuff on the posters without telling us?!" He questioned with great intensity, the flush on his face becoming more apparent.
"..uh.. yeah? I figured it wouldn't be that big of a deal." Ethan arched a brow as he replied.
"It's.. well, okay, it's not, but—still!" Kevin stammered, practically yelling as he gripped the table tightly with his hands. "I don't wanna perform or read to a group of people I don't even know! Especially when there's probably gonna be a whole crowd there!"
Rick added, "..I.. I agree. Its not really something I signed up for.."
Radford softly frowned at the negative way they both spoke. "Guys.."
"No, no. I understand where you're both coming from." Ethan gently said, stopping Radford before he could intervene. "It's kind of a lot to ask you to do so much when you only started sharing these a few days ago. I'm.. sorry for putting you on the spot like that. However.."
