Sitting outside on the steps of the plantation while Niklaus is throwing the dead vampires into a pile, Rebekah and Hayley standing behind him. Layla felt guilty. So far she has brought Hayley into a life she never wanted and she has put something on a man who never wanted it. "This is why i told you never to leave the house. Werewolves are banned in the quarter. I had a plan, and your little nighttime stroll put it in peril."

As Klaus said that one of the vampires start to move causing Rebekah to walk forward. "Leave him! You've done enough, don't you think? Leaving a trail of bodies like a road map to my door?"

Holding her ground Rebekah speaks, "If i hadn't overheard this lot bragging about werewolf heads, everyone here would be screwed, and don't give me that crap about having a plan. You've had all the time in the world to execute a plan, and no one's seen you do a damn thing! Elijah made a deal to protect your child so that he could save you from your selfish, rotten self. you obviously don't give a damn about the child or Elijah because what have you done to honor it"

Having enough Klaus speaks, "I have done everything. Let me spell it out for you, shall I? From the day i arrived, Marcel hasn't trusted me. From day one, he's had his vampires ingest toxic vervain, which as you know, little sister protects them from my mind control. I needed a spy, someone on the inside with me who Marcel would never suspect, so i created a day zero and got there first. Marcel had just lost six vampires thanks to your little murder spree." He points to Rebekah, "And he needed new recruits, so i made the new one mine. Before he'd had even a drop of vervain, but we all know the real way to a man is through his heart, and this one," Picking up the body of the vampire that's still alive and dropping him to the floor, "im gonna drain him of vervain, compel him to believe his mates found religion and moved to Utah."

Dragging the body as he walks Klaus continues, "so that he can explain to Marcel why he lost three more vampires tonight." Layla stands up following Klaus into the house as Hayley and Rebekah follow after her. As Klaus drops the body Layla stands beside Hayley. "Does anyone have any more questions? No? Good. Because I have a question, Layla. Hayley. What were you doing in the bloody french quarter in the first place?" when he gets no answer he raises his voice. "Answer me!"

Layla pushes herself off the wall as Rebekah speaks, "Leave her be."

Layla walks towards Klaus, "You want to know what we were doing? We were buying poison so i could put your little baby out of its misery. Maybe it would be better that way!" Klaus speeds forward grabbing Layla by the neck and pushing her against the wall cutting of her air way.

"Nik!"

"Klaus!"

Rebekah has enough so she pushes Niklaus away from the other blonde and onto a different wall. As Layla falls Hayley picks her back up and Layla puts her weight on Hayley as she breathes. "Keep your hands off her. She is pregnant for gods sake! All this bluster about not wanting the child, and the second she tells you she's ready to get rid of it."Hayley rubs Layla's back as she holds her neck and breathes heavy. "Its ok to care. Its ok to want something. Thats all Elijah was trying to do, all he's ever wanted for you, all we've ever wanted."

Klaus looks away with tears in his eyes and then sitting down, Rebekah following his actions as Hayley and Layla look at the pair. "I gave Elijah to Marcel." It was Klaus who had broken the silence between the four.

Rebekah looks over at her brother. "What?"

Klaus shakes his head, "Marcel was nervous. it was bad enough one original returned to town, but two? his crew was getting antsy. He wanted Elijah gone, so i gave him a peace offering."

Rebekah looks to her brother with a mad look. "You bartered our brother."

Klaus looks to his sister, "I have a plan. Gain Marcel's trust, dismantle his empire, honor Elijah's wish that that baby be born. I am executing that plan the only way i know how. if you don't like it, there's the door. see if i care." Getting up and walking away leaving Layla with tears in her eyes, Hayley rubbing her back and Rebekah leaning against the rails.

After a while they all move, Rebekah who is now sitting out side. Hayley sitting in her bedroom, and Layla who went to get something and then walking out side to talk to Rebekah. Sitting down beside Rebekah, she begins to talk. "I know you don't know me very well, but thanks. i appreciate what you did in there."

Rebekah looks at her. "Us girls have got to look out for each other."

"What is it with you two? You say you hate him, but the way you deal with him, its so clear. Even when you hate him, you still love him." Layla smiles at Rebekah.

Rebekah sends a small smile back before talking. "I guess when you spend a thousand years with someone, deciding to quit them is like losing a part of yourself, but sometimes the hate is just so powerful. Emil wasn't the only boyfriend of mine that Klaus killed. he did it again and again every time i found someone to care about. he just kept doing it until i stopped falling in love. he said he was protecting me from my mistakes, that no one was ever good enough for his little sister...until one day someone was."

After listening to her story Layla speaks, "If you know Marcel has Elijah, why dont you just get him back yourself?"

Both girls are looking at each other, "Because if i cross my brother, then there's still a coffin downstairs with my name on it"

As Rebekah looks away, Layla looks down and then grabs the knifes from under the chair showing them to Rebekah. "Oh my god."

She looks up to Rebekah. "I found them under your coffin, while i hate going against Klaus you deserve to be happy." Layla holds them out to Rebekah and she takes them giving her a smile.
